Zhangjiajie City is located in the northwest of Hunan, in the hinterland of the Wuling Mountains. Zhangjiajie Forest Park is the first national forest park in my country. Wulingyuan Natural Scenic Area, which consists of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, Suoxiyu Scenic Area, Tianzi Mountain Scenic Area and Yangjiajie Nature Reserve, has been included in the World Natural Heritage List. Zhangjiajie City, built and prospered because of tourism, has scenery that amazes the world. Thousands of stone peaks rise from the ground and 800 meandering streams in the scenic area. It is known as "the original Chinese landscape painting", "a reduced wonderland and an enlarged bonsai".

Travel season

Spring and autumn.

In spring, the grass in Zhangjiajie is delicious and the fallen flowers are colorful. You can trace the Golden Whip Stream, visit Shili Gallery, explore the Huanglong Cave, and experience the surprise of Wuling people entering the Peach Blossom Spring; in autumn, the sky in Zhangjiajie is high, the clouds are clear, and the forests are dyed. You can visit Tianzi Mountain, Yuanjiajie, Xihai and other places to enjoy the beautiful scenery. This is also the season when fruits such as kiwis and tangerines are ripe. Relatively speaking, summers are hot and rainy, winters are cold, and the comfort is slightly lower than in spring and autumn.

1. The less luggage the better, because the accommodation is not fixed every day, so you have to carry your bags all the way.

2. It is best to bring an umbrella or buy a disposable raincoat locally, which costs a few yuan a piece.

3. Bring sun protection products with an index of 30 or above, mosquito repellents, sunglasses, sun hats, at least three sets of replacement underwear and socks, some paper towels (and wet wipes) and disinfectant wet wipes. Wear thick-soled, non-slip sneakers.

4. Prepare band-aids, anti-inflammatory tablets, anti-diarrheal tablets and other medicines.

5. It is best to bring a flashlight. Although it is not necessary to climb the mountain at night, there is no guarantee that you will not have time to come down.

6. Bring daily toiletries: towels, toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo, shower gel, etc. Most hotels in Hunan do not provide disposable toiletries. You can bring a few towels with you. You will sweat a lot when climbing, so towels will also be used.

7. If you have the Hunan Province Jinxiu Xiaoxiang Tourist Card, be sure to bring it with you. Bringing this card with you will allow you to visit Zhangjiajie for unlimited free admission to the following attractions: Kuzhuzhai Grand Canyon, Jiutian Cave, Zhangjiajie Tujia Customs Park, Maoyan River rafting etc.
