Water Curtain Cave

Water curtain cave is the most distinctive and representative scenic spot in Guo Hua, located halfway up the mountain in Guo Hua. It used to be the sea of Wang Yang in ancient times, but it was formed in the Ming Dynasty and is famous overseas for its The Journey to the West. Inspired by this water curtain cave, Wu Cheng'en provided a mythical venue for the Monkey King in early The Journey to the West.

Long before The Journey to the West wrote a book, water curtain cave was well known. In the Ming Dynasty, Gu Gan's Thirty-six Scenes of Yuntai, Zhang Chaorui's travel notes and various local chronicles have detailed and vivid descriptions.

In front of the cave, there are inscriptions of "flowing water in a mountain stream" inscribed by Wang Tong of Haizhou in the 23rd year of Jiajing of Ming Dynasty (1544), as well as music stones such as "Shenqingquan" and "Lingquan".
