Does Shiyan in Hubei belong to the south or the north?

According to Baidu map, Shiyan City, Hubei Province is located at the southern foot of Qinling Mountain and belongs to the south. Shiyan City is located in the northwest of Hubei Province, the east of Qinba Mountain, the middle and upper reaches of the Han River, and the junction of western Henan, southwestern Shaanxi and eastern Chongqing.

Shiyan City governs Maojian District, zhangwan district, Yunyang District, danjiangkou city, Yunxi County, Zhushan County, Zhuxi County and Fangxian County. The total population of the city is 3.46 million. Automobile, hydropower, tourism and ecology are the four pillar industries of Shiyan.
