Is it safe to travel to Brazil’s Amazon rainforest?

I have been to the Brazilian rainforest! A super unique place: winding waterways, dusk like an oil painting, night sky full of stars...

We caught piranhas with chicken and ate them! So delicious!

Seen pink dolphins! But it was really too late to take a photo!

I’ve seen lizards, big and small, crawling everywhere!

I saw a tour guide eating a fat white worm directly from a tree!

I think this experience is enough for me to remember for a long time. It is the biggest world I have ever seen! Now that I think about it, it is still fresh in my mind, so I would like to share the story here with you, hoping to bring you some reference and inspiration. Let’s travel! 1. Route planning

First let’s talk about the preliminary arrangements for our trip:

We introduced a local Chinese in the rainforest and added a local tour guide in the rainforest, and then through this English-speaking guide The local tour guide planned and arranged the itinerary for us, and the payment method was cash after we arrived (there is basically no expense after entering the rainforest. After all, there are no commodity transactions in the rainforest, and there is no chance to spend money).

The tour guide will follow us throughout the whole process and will tell us things to pay attention to, such as what you can touch and eat and what you can’t touch and stay away from it. It’s very reassuring! Moreover, food and accommodation are taken care of, so we don’t have to worry about it. We can just follow the tour guide without thinking ~ so the whole trip is very relaxed and enjoyable!

We are traveling with a *** group of four friends, all of whom are girls. It is very convenient to travel by car, boat, and accommodation. It is considered a semi-group tour. The tour group only has a tour guide taking the four of us. It is cost-effective Very high.

Let’s talk about transportation:

Because we are in Brazil, we took a flight from the city where we lived to the Brazilian city of Manaus → then took a bus from the airport to the pier → from Take a boat from the pier to the village (? It’s almost like a village that cannot be described) → Take a car from the village to the edge of the rain forest (start to get away from the crowd and enter the rain forest) → Take a boat into the depths of the rain forest (can’t count the boat, just sit down The boat with a few people... stopped from time to time and had to start the engine again to move), and then we arrived at the farmhouse where we were staying!

The intersection of the Haihe River and the distinct Jingwei River seen by boat along the way

Taked on a small boat, there is really water everywhere

This journey is basically We set off at around 3am and arrived close to the afternoon, so there was still a time difference. It can be seen that inconvenient transportation will make this trip very long and tortuous, and it will consume a lot of physical strength. If you are in poor health, it is recommended to bring motion sickness medicine and chocolate. It is really painful to take a car or a boat.

Let’s talk about food and accommodation:

The accommodation is a two-person cabin in the rainforest. It has air-conditioning-like hair drying equipment, toilets and showers. But there is no hot water, only cold water.

The houses are all made of pure wood. Each room has a window and a hanging chair outside. There are many rooms in the entire farmhouse, all of which are wooden double rooms; there is also a wooden hall, which is regarded as the lobby. The restaurant and kitchen are where we eat three meals a day. The tour guide and his family live and cook here. The ingredients are all freshly caught fish in the rainforest, chickens raised by ourselves, vegetables grown in the yard, etc., and there is very little seasoning. , basically the original taste of fresh food, super delicious! Everyone in this Chongkou star is deeply in love!

This is the farmhouse we stayed in (? Similar in nature)

The view outside the window of the room we stayed in is really good 2. Life planning

Basically in the rainforest The Internet is disconnected and you can buy WiFi, but I still chose to enjoy a peaceful and happy week without any information interference~

So there are really not many things that I need to bring, mainly to protect myself from rain and insects. something.

It is very simple to keep out the rain. I recommend a raincoat. After all, it often starts raining right before your eyes. If you don’t wear a raincoat, your clothes will often get soaked and hard to dry, and your body will easily get eczema. However, I also brought an umbrella with me, but found that it was inconvenient and windy to hold an umbrella, so a raincoat was more suitable.

Insect control is divided into soft insect control and hard insect control. The main requirements are to get vaccinated before going, bring some anti-mosquito medicine, and wear good clothes. After all, many bugs in the rainforest are poisonous.

Soft anti-insect mainly consists of some medicines, which are divided into two parts. One is the preparation before going to the country. For example, you need to go to the customs to apply for an entry-exit health certificate. During the physical examination, there will be dengue fever vaccine, malaria vaccine, etc. ; The other is local preparation in Brazil, such as buying a lot of mosquito repellent spray, anti-itch ointment, oral anti-allergy medicine, hand sanitizer and so on.

Including but not limited to these preparations

The main way to prevent insects is to wear more, mainly light and breathable long-sleeved pants and sports shoes. My principle is not to leak an inch of skin. , even when I sleep I wrap myself up and endure the heat (because I’m really scared), so I look really ugly and earthy in the photo

We are wearing raincoats

We are wearing raincoats and following behind the tour guide. We don’t dare to show any skin. Is this what we look like? 3. Journey experience

Not much to say about this part , directly on the picture!

We were all in the rainforest, and the experience included using chicken to catch piranhas

This is the little piranha I caught

I caught a piranha pretending I want to eat it directly, the fishing rod and fishing line are all made by the tour guide himself

But this piranha is really tender! Add a little salt and bake it, it’s amazing!

Wait for the little crocodile to appear at night, touch and catch it~

The tour guide holds the little crocodile

We will observe the little crocodile up close

The Sanctioned Little Crocodile: He will be released and forced to open a business before he is a minor

Me holding the little crocodile

I am the one holding the little crocodile, and next to me is my beautiful roommate< /p>

The body of the little crocodile is cool, slippery, and very stiff. It seems more nervous than me (bushi)

Go deep into the rainforest to visit ancient trees and introduce various kinds of things that you have never seen before. I have heard of animals and plants (but I didn’t dare to show my hands to take pictures inside, so I didn’t dare to take pictures of many strange animals and plants)

I don’t know how old the ancient trees are

< p>Tree growing in water

Every time I see the photo above, I want to borrow Gu Cheng’s poem to describe this scene: It’s the power of trees swimming!

These trees all grow in the water, and you can see the traces on the trunks after the rainy season.

Look at the double rainbow (it rains more in the rainforest, so it often rains in some places) From the angle, you can see a double-layered rainbow! However, it’s hard to take a picture of this, so I’d better feel it with my heart~)

Watching the sunrise and sunset, I have to say that the sky is amazing in a pollution-free environment! ! ! !

Starry, dazzling starry sky

Huawei’s night scene mode is really amazing

Beautiful sunset and cute dog hook

And the artificiality of the sunset I am a thoughtful person

I am also on a small boat, the winding waterway is like an oil painting

Dusk! Really beautiful!

The lack of vocabulary cannot express the shock

It happened to coincide with the birthday of a resident in the rainforest. The tour guide took us to his home and spent it with members of their large family. On my birthday, I played football with them, ate cakes, delicacies, etc.

I came back from playing football

After playing football barefoot and coming back to find my friends, my lifestyle gradually changed. Brazilian hahahahahahahahaha

This is the house where the locals live

It is also a wooden structure, after all, there are no other building materials

To sum up, Brazil As one of the countries farthest from China, it may be unfamiliar to everyone. It can be said that it is a completely different world from China. It is highly recommended as a tourist to experience it ~ but the premise is to pay attention to safety and travel together (public security) It’s really not possible, our friends have all been robbed of money); it’s best to speak Portuguese, or Spanish, if not, you also need to be fluent in English (but except for big cities or airports, the popularity of English in Brazil is not that high).

As long as you make the appropriate preparations, it will be a great experience to feel the excitement! Now the safety level of rainforest tourism is very high, everyone can rest assured~

Today’s cloud tourism with everyone ends at the station! Hope you all like it!
