Travel from Wuhan to Luoyang.

Day 1:

First stop: Longmen Grottoes, a world cultural heritage

Transportation: Take bus No. 53 and arrive at the terminal at Longmen Grottoes. It usually only takes about 40 minutes. Buses in Luoyang generally cost 1 yuan or 1.5 yuan, and are self-service coin-operated. After arriving at the station, you need to pass through many shops selling souvenirs and handicrafts. If you are interested, you can buy them when you come out from the tourist attractions. One thing I would recommend is the handmade ginger candies there.

Tour: Tickets for Longmen Grottoes are 120 yuan, students with student ID are 60 yuan. Longmen Grottoes is a must-see attraction in Luoyang and is a world cultural heritage. It is divided into Xishan Grottoes and Dongshan Grottoes. In addition, there are Xiangshan and Baiyuan on the Dongshan side (the former residence of Bai Juyi, who lived here in his later years and was named Xiangshan Jushi). Dongshan and Xishan are separated by a Yihe River. This is the place where the carp leaps over the Dragon Gate in the legend. There are tens of thousands of Buddhist niches of different sizes in the Xishan Grottoes. The biggest one is naturally the Buddha statue that is said to be based on Wu Zetian. I won’t go into details here. You’ll know after you go and see them. But it’s best to have a tour guide to explain them. Only by listening to the stories about the Buddhist niches can you feel more deeply.

Eating: There are many restaurants after getting off the bus to the gate of the scenic spot. You can try the famous Luoyang water banquet. It is said that Premier Zhou praised the delicious dishes, such as peony agarwood and so on. The most famous restaurant of Luoyang Shuixi is called "True Different". It is not far to the west of our hotel. You can get off the No. 53 bus and you will find the True Different Hotel. If you think the price is high, there are many water restaurant restaurants in the snack street at the back, such as Guanji Water Restaurant, which are very good

Second stop: Baima Temple

Transportation: After having a dinner at Zhenbui, we took bus 56 back to the terminal, Baima Temple. Baima Temple is on the outskirts of Luoyang, and it takes about 20 minutes to take bus 56. After that, return to where you stayed.

Entertainment: Tickets for White Horse Temple are 50 yuan, and half discount for students is 25 yuan. White Horse Temple is the first temple built after Buddhism was introduced to China. It is the first ancient temple in China. Tang Xuanzang, the Tang monk in Journey to the West, was born in Yanshi, Luoyang. Xuanzang’s hometown scenic spot is still under construction in Yanshi. The White Horse Temple has a profound connection with Xuanzang. If you go to pray for blessings, it is said to be very effective. You can also buy some incense to worship. Incense is actually not expensive, but don’t be deceived by those outside who pull you in and say they want to consecrate your incense. The so-called consecration costs money. Qian Mo believes that worshiping Buddha and praying for blessings depends on your sincerity, not money.

Eating: The recommended place is Taxi Garden BBQ City. What a delicious barbecue!

Third stop: Taxi Garden BBQ City

Transportation: Taxi BBQ City is also located on the outskirts of the city, so transportation is relatively inconvenient. After leaving Baima Temple, you can take Route 58 or Route 56 and go through 9 stops to Tangsimen Station, then take Route 41 to Qiming South Road Xilin Intersection Station, and walk about 840 meters to Taxi Garden BBQ City.

Eating: I came to Taxi Garden just to eat barbecue. There is a little fat barbecue that seems to be the most delicious. Of course, you can choose it yourself! Because it is located in Changhe District, Luoyang, and there are many Hui people in Chanhe District, the barbecues in Taxi Garden are all halal. But it still tastes great! Grilled fish, barbecue, endless aftertaste!

Day two:

Fourth stop: Wangcheng Park, peony viewing

Transportation: Take bus No. 9 from opposite Yijia Hotel to Wangcheng Park. About 20 minutes or so.

Entertainment: Tickets for Wangcheng Park are adjusted according to the peony flowering period. From April 9th ??to 26th, the full price is 50 yuan, and from the 26th to May 5th, it is 40 yuan. It can now be purchased on Taobao 20% off tickets. There is a peony garden in Wangcheng Park, with large areas of peonies and a wide variety of peonies that you can enjoy. Before entering the park, you can watch a small performance, in ancient costume, because it is during the Peony Festival. You can also enjoy flower arrangements in the garden. There are also zoos and amusement parks.

Eating: After visiting Wangcheng Park in the morning and admiring peonies, you can go to Lijing Gate in Luoyang’s old city to eat a hundred bowls of mutton soup. I highly recommend this, it tastes great! And it’s not expensive. The first-grade mutton soup for 15 yuan can make you full and satisfied.

Fifth stop: Old City, Lijing Gate

Transportation: After coming out of Wangcheng Park, take bus No. 9 to Lijing Gate. In fact, our hostel is very close to Lijing Gate. There are only 2 stops, so it is recommended to walk back directly along the river after visiting the old town in the afternoon. Remember to bring a map!

Travel: There is no need for tickets in the old city, but tickets are required to enter the tower of Lijing Gate, but they are not expensive, probably only a dozen yuan. It doesn't matter whether you go there or not. When you arrive in the old city, there are hundreds of bowls of mutton soup mentioned above as soon as you enter the door. Let’s have lunch first!

There are many antique markets in the old city. Friends who like this should take a good stroll. There are also many snacks and gadgets. If you need to take souvenirs back to give to relatives and friends, you can buy them here. . When I went to the Old City for the first time, my friend told me that the bottom of the Old City was empty and that Luoyang was full of monuments. I didn’t check whether his words were true or not, but when I visited the old city later, I felt something different, haha.

Eating: There are many snacks in the old city, so you can eat snacks slowly. Of course, there are also many restaurants like Hundred Bowls of Mutton Soup, where you can eat whatever you want.

Sixth stop: Water Musical Fountain

Transportation: Take bus No. 53 to Luoyang New District Municipal Government.

Play: This water musical fountain is said to be the largest in Asia. In terms of area, it is known as the largest fountain in Asia. During holidays, the musical fountain will start performing around 8 pm, and it is free. . And it’s really spectacular. Why not go and enjoy the night view?

The third day:

Seventh stop: Mangshan, Luoyang Ancient Art Museum (Ancient Tomb Museum)

Transportation: Take bus 5 or bus 41 to get there From the train station, transfer to bus 83 to reach the Tomb Museum. Taking Route 83 takes about half an hour.

Tour: The full ticket price for the Ancient Tomb Museum is 15 to 20 yuan. Now in the off-season, admission is free. Now this museum is called the Museum of Ancient Art. It used to be called the Tomb Museum. In fact, I think the name of the Tomb Museum is more interesting. The museum is in the famous Mang Mountain! Everyone has heard a saying: "There is heaven above, and Suzhou and Hangzhou below." In fact, there is another saying: "Born in Suzhou and Hangzhou, buried in Beimang." This is Mang Mountain. There are many imperial tombs in Mang Mountain. There is a mausoleum at the original site in the Ancient Tomb Museum. In front of the tomb are several sacred beasts guarding the tomb. When you enter the tomb, you will find that the tomb is domed. There are many tomb exhibitions of different styles in the museum, and it is said that they were all moved here.

One more tip: when you get off the bus and walk into the museum, if you pay attention to the scenery on both sides, you will get unexpected rewards. It may be just a legend that peonies were demoted to Mangshan Mountain in Luoyang, but Mangshan Mountain is indeed a suitable place for planting peonies, so there are actually many flower growers on Mangshan Mountain planting large areas of peonies, and the scenery is no less than that of some peony parks. There are also some orchards where you can go directly into the garden to pick fruits and buy them by the pound.

Eating: There is no place to eat nearby. So it is better to go back to the city to eat. After arriving at the train station, take bus 61 to Xinduhui. It is a shopping place and of course there are many restaurants.

Stop 8: Visit Luopu Park and go boating on the Luo River

Transportation: After returning from the Ancient Tomb Museum and having a meal, arrive at the Dingding Overpass section of Luopu Park. If you are in Xindu After collecting food, take bus 61 and get off at Dingding Overpass Station or China National Garden Station and walk to Luopu Park.

Tour: Luopu Park is free. The park is 16 kilometers long and is built along the Luo River with beautiful scenery. The god of Luo River is Luo Goddess Mi Fei. Mi Fei was originally the daughter of the Fuxi family. Because she was infatuated with the beautiful scenery on both sides of the Luo River, she came to the world and came to the bank of the Luo River. There is also a folk legend about the Luo Shen Fu of the Three Kingdoms. This shows how beautiful the scenery is on both sides of the Luohe River.

The closest way to experience the Luo River is by boating on the Luo River. There are boats that can be rented in Luopu Park. It costs about 10 yuan an hour. It is very interesting to paddle out into the Luo River by yourself!

Supplement: You can adjust the itinerary according to your preferences and time. The above three-day tour guide will make you feel comfortable. There are many museums in Luoyang, but I think it is best to go to one in a limited time. A trip to the Ancient Tomb Museum is the most cost-effective. One thing to add is that many businessmen who come to Luoyang probably don’t want to miss Guanlin Temple. Guanlin Temple is the place where Guan Guan Yu’s head is buried. The ticket is about 30 yuan. The transportation is also very convenient. It is the same route to Longmen. Yes, get off at Guanlin on the way.

After dinner on the third day, I’m afraid you have to catch the train back. Then your three-day trip to Luoyang will be completely over. So, please bring your luggage and the good memories with Luoyang and return to your life.
