Why does Bali still have a name "Devil Island"?

Thanks for inviting me.

Bali also has a name called Alcatraz, which I didn't know until I went to Bali. It can be seen that this nickname is not particularly big. Chances are that when you mention Alcatraz to others, they may not know this place at all. So first of all, I don't think this question should be considered public.

Why is Bali called Alcatraz? Bali Bali is the most dazzling of Indonesia 13600 islands. In fact, there are many active volcanoes in Indonesia, and Agung volcano, the highest peak in Bali, has been the most active recently. This volcano is 3 142 meters above sea level. In the first two months, there were frequent earthquakes near the volcano, so experts thought it was about to erupt. As a result, the number of tourists to Bali has also dropped sharply, but what I want to say is that I went to Bali at that time, but fortunately there was no such accident as staying at the airport.

Speaking of the word "devil" is generally considered derogatory, but I think for Bali, it is not just because of this active volcano.

In addition to volcanoes, Bali's scenery is also very good, both natural scenery and local cultural landscape have left a deep impression on me. What I remember most is the devil's tears. In fact, this is the scenery formed by weather and natural landscape. When the weather is fine, the waves beat against the rocks and you can see the rainbow under the refraction of sunlight.

When you meet the sky and the right place, you will encounter beautiful scenery, so this has become one of the attractions for most tourists to come to Bali.

Therefore, the nickname "Alcatraz" came from this.
