Besides flowers and buds, root bark can also be used as a dye. The newly cultivated purple rose in Pingyin, also known as the Four Seasons Rose, bloomed in May and lasted until June165438+1October. After defoliation in winter, the branches are all purple from the root to the top, which is of great ornamental value and is an excellent variety for urban greening and beautification. Rose wine brewed with roses began in the Ming Dynasty, and the rose wine brewed by Jishenghe in Pingyin City in the late Qing Dynasty was famous for its delicious and sweet taste. Rose wine produced in Pingyin during the Republic of China won the gold medal and certificate of Leipzig International Fair in Germany and the silver medal and certificate of Panama International Fair for its mellow, sweet and delicate.

Rose sauce rose sauce is made by pickling rose petals with sugar. Flowers should be fully developed, with thick petals, strong colors and clean. Rose essential oil Pingyin county began to extract rose oil from fresh roses from 1957, which is one of the earliest counties in China to produce rose oil. 1958 refined 2.37kg of rose oil, the highest output in China. Before 1995, the use of roses was mainly used for wine making, sauce making and oil refining. After 1995, merchants in the south came to buy dried rose buds. In 2002, China Green Food Development Center named "Pingmei" dried rose bud as A-grade green food. By 2004, the number of drying furnaces in the county reached 9 1 set, and more than 500 tons of dried flower buds were processed. Dried flower buds once became the leading product in pingyin rose. The sales of dried rose buds are mainly sold to the south through middlemen, and some of them are exported by hand.

Since 1978, there have been a large number of rose seedlings in Xiagou, Jiaozhuang and other villages in Rose Town, with an annual average of 1 10,000 plants. From 1995, with the adjustment of agricultural industrial structure, many foreign merchants went to Pingyin to buy rose seedlings, which promoted the seedling production in the county and formed the rose seedling breeding and sales market. From 1999 to 2002, the nursery area of the county reached more than 60 hectares, and most of the purple-branch roses were sold to big cities as green seedlings, with the highest price per plant in 6 yuan. Most roses are sold to Xinjiang, Henan, Zhejiang and Heze, Liaocheng, Jining and other places in this province, and some large seedling growers sell hundreds of thousands of seedlings a year.

Roses not only have economic value, but also have high ornamental value. May is the blooming season in pingyin rose. At this time, there are clusters and rows of flowers everywhere on both sides of the ditch weir and the road canal, and a large area of rose garden is as beautiful as embroidery. Since ancient times, there have been records of talented people, beautiful women and literati viewing roses, leaving many excellent poems. Every season in bloom, the Cuiping Mountain Temple Fair will be held here, singing big plays and playing tricks to attract tourists from all directions. From 1990 to 1996, the Pingyin County Party Committee and the county government held six Rose Ejiao Art Festival, which realized the cultural stage and economic singing. Since 2003, Pingyin County and Jinan Tourism Bureau have jointly launched the "Rose Tour", with a total length of 20 kilometers, from Beishi Street-Nanquan-Zhaotai-Rose Demonstration Park-Cuiping Mountain-Rose Research Institute, with five scenic spots planned and transformed. During the May 1 Golden Week alone, Rose Scenic Area received more than 38,000 tourists, mostly tourists from outside the county, travel teams or self-driving tourists.
