-2022 Free Tour Time and Details of Wawushan Scenic Area

Washan recently launched the "National Chao Tile House Han Yun Ice and Snow" event. From 2021 to 2022, during specific periods, people wearing Hanfu entering the park can enjoy free discounts. Please see below for specific free time and travel tips.

2. Travel tips

1. Chengdu-Wawushan Scenic Area through train

(1) Operation date: December 3, 2021-2022 February 28, 2020;

(2) Departure time: Depart from Chengdu Xinnanmen Bus Station around 07:10, arrive at Gaoshengqiao Metro Exit C around 07:30, and arrive at Taiping Garden around 07:40 Take Subway Exit F and arrive at Caiqiao Subway Station Exit A around 08:10;

(3) Shuttle bus time: Return from Jinhuaqiao Sightseeing Car Parking Lot in Wawushan Scenic Area at 17:00.

(4) Reservations can be made on Tuanzi Travel APP, Yi Lai Tian Fu, and Yi Lai Bang Bang. One-way ticket: 78 yuan/person, round-trip ticket: 156 yuan/person (attraction tickets and cableway tickets need to be purchased separately)

2. We learned from the county traffic control department that the road construction on the Hongya section from Gaomiao to Wawushan Scenic Area (Wulipo) has not yet been completed and does not meet normal traffic conditions. Starting from December 23, one-way traffic will be allowed from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. After 6:30 p.m., physical isolation will be set up and all vehicles will be prohibited from passing.

This section of the road is still under construction during this period, with one-way traffic, many large trucks, and congestion. It is recommended that tourists choose the Ya'an route to the scenic area, namely: Ya'an-Zhougong Mountain-Wangyu Ancient Town-Wawu Mountain Scenic Area.

3. Currently, Wawu Mountain has entered the peak season for ice and snow tourism. If you are traveling to Wawushan on weekends or holidays, please purchase tickets online in advance to prevent tourists from entering the park after reaching the daily reception limit.

3. Operation time

Monday to Friday admission time: 08:00-14:00;

Jinhua Bridge Cableway operation time: 08:2017:30;

Foping Cableway operation time: 08:4017:00.

Statutory holidays: 07:0015:00 (number of people not reaching the current limit)

Jinhua Bridge Cableway operating time: 07:2017:30;

Buddha Ping Cableway operation time: 07:40 to 17:00.

The Jinhua Bridge Cableway and Gufoping Cableway in the scenic area undergo routine maintenance every Wednesday. The cableway stops at 16:00, and ticket sales in the scenic area stop at 13:00. Visitors are asked to be prepared to enter in advance.

4. Internal transportation in the scenic area

Jinhua Bridge Cableway and Gufoping Cableway:

Take the Jinhua Bridge Cableway from the bottom of the mountain (about 15 minutes to Gufoping, Halfway up the mountain) and then take the Gufoping Cableway (about 10 minutes to the top of the mountain).

Self-driving route

Route 1: Chengdu-Liujiang Ancient Town-Zhaohe-Tuiguan-Wawushan Scenic Area

Route 2: Chengdu-Ya'an-Zhougong Mountain- Wangyu Ancient Town-Wawushan Scenic Area

Route 3: Leshan-Emeishan-Qiliping-Gaomiao Ancient Town-Wawushan Scenic Area

Shuttle Line

Chengdu-Hong Ya (Xinnanmen, Shiyangchang) passenger shuttle bus (every 50 minutes, 08:10-16:10)

Hongya-Wawushan (06:00-16:30, every 40 Every minute) takes about 180 minutes.

Chengdu, Chongqing, Leshan, Ya'an and Emei all have shuttle buses to Hongya.
