Zhanjiang, formerly known as Guangzhou Bay, is located at the southernmost tip of Chinese mainland. This is a beautiful subtropical coastal city. It now governs Leizhou City, Lianjiang City, Wuchuan City, xuwen county City and Suixi County, Chikan District, xiashan district City, Potou District and Mazhang District, with a total area of12,470 square kilometers and a population of about 6 million. The municipal government is located in Chikan District.
