Introduction to Yueshan Town

Yueshan Town is a town under the jurisdiction of Boai County, Jiaozuo City, Henan Province. It is an economically strong town in Henan Province, with a small per capita cultivated land area in its jurisdiction. In terms of industry, there is Yueshan Industrial Park, where Yueshan Beer Co., Ltd. is located; transportation is convenient, with Yueshan Railway Station connected to China Unicom; and there are rich tourism resources, with Yueshan Temple Scenic Area, one of the three famous temples in the Central Plains, located here. Suzhai Village, Yueshan Town is the birthplace of the famous Lanzhou Beef Ramen. In the information about Lanzhou Beef Ramen, there is this description: During the Jiaqing period of the Qing Dynasty, Ma Liuqi, a member of the Dongxiang ethnic group in Gansu Province, learned to make small noodles from Chen Weijing in Suzhai Village, Hanoi County, Huaiqing Prefecture, Henan Province (in Yuezhen Mountain, Boai County, Henan Province). The craftsmanship of making beef noodle soup was later brought to Lanzhou. After innovation and improvement by Chen Hesheng, a descendant of the Chen family, and Ma Baozi, a Hui cook, it is based on "one clear (soup), two white (radish), three green (cilantro, garlic sprouts) , Sihong (spicy), and Wuhuang (noodles with bright yellow color)" unify the standards of Lanzhou beef noodles. In the following 200 years, it became famous for its rotten meat, fresh soup and fine noodles.
