Guangsheng Temple 1

The temple is located at the foot of Huoshan Mountain, which is17km northeast of the county seat of Hongdong County. It was built in the first year of Emperor Jian in the Eastern Han Dynasty (147), and was originally named Julushe Temple, also known as Wangyuta, and renamed Guangsheng Temple in the Tang Dynasty. In the fourth year of the Tang Dynasty (769), Guo Ziyi, the king of Fenyang, was ordered by the central secretariat to write an article about the establishment of a family, requesting reconstruction. During the Song and Jin Dynasties, Guangsheng Temple was burned down and rebuilt by soldiers.

2. Jade Emperor Temple in Hong Tong

Yuan Taizong is located in Xinbei Village, 5 kilometers northwest of Hongdong County, Shanxi Province. It was founded in (1229) and was renovated in Ming, Qing and Republic of China. Sit facing south, enter the courtyard in front and back, the stage is on the south side of the front yard, and the gate of Huang Yu Temple is on the east side. The central axis of the backyard is arranged in turn from south to north as the main entrance, the instrument door and the Jade Emperor Hall, with the East and West halls and the wing rooms on both sides.

3. Hongdong Guandi Temple

Located in Miao Wen Street, Hongtong County, it was built in the 10th year of Yuan Dade (1306) and has been renovated in later dynasties. Guandi Temple faces south and covers an area of 1364 square meters. Along the central axis, from north to south, there are vestibule, offering hall, terrace, stage, spring and autumn building in turn, and east and west cloisters, bells and drum towers on both sides. The Spring and Autumn Building, also known as Sanzhen Pavilion, is a pavilion-style building with a cross resting on the top of the mountain.

4. Shangshan Temple in Hong Tong

Shangshan Temple is located in Sunbao Village, Zhaocheng Town, Hongtong County. It is named Huang San Temple because it worships Fuxi, Shennong and Xuanyuan Huang San. Its creation date is unknown. Judging from the name of Shangshan Temple, it was built to worship the doctors who lived in seclusion and believed in the study of Huang Lao at the end of Qin Dynasty. In the Ming Dynasty, it was changed to worship Huang San.

5. Shi Jing Palace

Ganhe Village, located in Hongdongdi Village, is named after being built at the foot of Shi Jing Mountain in the west of the village. It was built in the first year of Hongzhi in the Ming Dynasty (1488), and was renovated in later dynasties. The existing buildings are left over from the middle and late Ming Dynasty, covering an area of about 5 mu. The mountain gate and Rong Ning Palace are on the central axis, and there are attached halls and ear halls on the left and right. The building structure is patchy, the layout is exquisite, and the priorities are clear.
