Sanzang Temple in Yangqu is an ancient Buddhist shrine and an ideal place for local people. Here you can feel the thrill and gratitude from the depths of your soul and meet your various spiritual needs.

Sanzang Temple, also known as Da 'an Temple. Located in Longquan Village, Nitun Town, Yangqu County, northern Taiyuan City, it is 60 kilometers away from Taiyuan City and 43 kilometers away from the county seat.

According to legend, the temple was built in the Tang Dynasty, with a section of King Zhuang in the eighth year of Jintianhui (A.D. 1 130).

Sanzang Temple is backed by Wanshou Mountain (also known as Changshou Mountain) and faces Longquan River and Yaya Mountain. It consists of a main courtyard in the west and east and a side courtyard in the north and south.

There are 63 halls, 25 huts and 20 caves, covering an area of about 5000 square meters.

In addition, there are towers, gardens, forests and so on. The tourist area can reach 654.38+10,000 square meters.

On the eighth day of the fourth lunar month, a temple fair was held, and many people came from Xinzhou, Taiyuan and Lvliang.

The pine trees on the mountain are lush and full of vitality. The temple at the foot of the mountain is magnificent and full of Sanskrit sounds. Looking south, Yaya Mountain looks like a stone forest. There are also black dragon caves, stone marrow and manna, which are wonderful.
