The number of inbound tourists and foreign exchange earnings of tourism in China rank fourth and fifth respectively in the world, making China the largest tourist country in Asia.

China's tourism industry has entered the historical stage of three major markets-inbound tourism market, domestic tourism market and outbound tourism market.

By the end of 26, there were 12,751 star-rated hotels and 17,957 travel agencies in China, and there were 762 colleges and universities with tourism departments (majors) and 941 secondary vocational schools with 734,9 students in China. There are more than 2.71 million direct employees in tourism.
