Xishuangbanna one-day tour itinerary
Features of the one-day tour route: visit the natural and cultural scenery of the border town. Route guide: Depart from Jinghong in the morning, take the shuttle bus from Jinghong to Roda, get off at Menghai County, and visit the Jingzhen Octagonal Pavilion and the Three-person Bodhi Tree. Afterwards, continue driving to Roda, a border town, and have lunch in Roda.
After lunch, visit a unique landscape, a forest. Take CMB back to Jinghong in the evening. Note: The exit gate of Roda is currently closed, and there is no official notification of when it will reopen. Tourists are free to visit Loda town, but think twice if a travel agency or local organization promises to take tourists across the border to Myanmar. Features of Xishuangbanna self-guided two-day tour: Feel the tropical scenery and beauty of Xishuangbanna. Route design: Lancang River Scenery Olive Dam (Dai Garden) Tropical Botanical Garden Manting Park Jinuo Mountain Wild Elephant Valley Jinghong Manjinglan Tourist Street. Route guide:
D1: Depart from Jinghong to Menglun in the morning, enjoy the scenery of the Lancang River along the way, visit the famous Peacocktail Ridge Olive Dam, and enjoy the tropical scenery and Dai villages. After the tour, drive to Menglun and have lunch in the town.
In the afternoon, you can walk across the Soluo River Suspension Bridge from Menglun Town (about a 10-minute walk) to the Menglun Tropical Botanical Garden to enjoy various tropical plants and the scenery of the Soluo River. Return to Jinghong in the afternoon and go to Manting Park to attend a bonfire party, watch ethnic songs and dances, and taste delicious food. Jinghong.
D2: In the morning, drive from Jinghong to Jinuo Mountain. Jinuo Mountain is one of the six major tea mountains for Pu'er tea.
In addition to admiring the natural scenery, you can also learn about the Jinuo people, the last recognized ethnic minority in China. Then take a bus to visit Wild Elephant Valley Park. After watching the elephant show and visiting the Elephant Museum, drive back to Jinghong City to explore the tropical city landscape. In the evening, enjoy a delicious dinner at Manjinglan Tourist Street in Jinghong City. End of a pleasant trip. Note: Wild elephants are not always present in Wild Elephant Valley. It depends on personal luck. Anyway, I didn’t see them when I went there. If you really feel embarrassed, you can go to the scenic spot photo agency to take photos, and they can help you photoshop wild elephants. If you are traveling in a group and entering the store, be firm. Those special snacks you like are sold on the street and are much cheaper.
The bagged fungus food I bought at that time: 15 yuan/bag. Later, while watching the Mengba show, I saw the same product in a grocery store near the square, but it only cost 3 yuan/bag. In addition, the packaging of Wanglaoji in Xishuangbanna is different from other places. They are all foreign products with foreign characters. You can go to the supermarket and bring some foreign food. Not bad and cheap. The self-guided tour route arrangement mainly depends on what you like.
There are three main attractions in Banna: ethnic customs, Pu'er tea culture, and tropical scenery. You may focus on one or two, or balance the time allocation between the three. A one-day round trip to Jinghong is enough for each scenic spot (1-3 hours drive for each scenic spot), so it is generally recommended to stay in Jinghong and travel around. If you have one day, you must transit here. Why not take a good rest and measure the town with your own feet, try the special snacks, and go to the Lancang River (called Mekong River when leaving the country) to see the night view, and let this lazy and leisurely town give you a day of relaxation.
If you have three days, the first day is: the Botanical Garden Dai Garden. You can stay in the Dai folk houses (bamboo houses) in the Dai Garden at night and experience the life of the Dai people. Day 2: Wild Elephant Valley. Day 3: Nanji Mountain Jinuo Thatched Cottage. If you have five days or more and just want to simply play around. Day 1: Walk around the city and see the night view. The next day: Look at the tree in the sky. The first hut on the China-Myanmar border.
Meng Jinglai (you can go to Luoda Town to inquire about Myanmar outbound tourism)/Botanical Garden-Dai Garden Day 4: Nanji Mountain/Wild Elephant Valley Day 5: Jinuo Mountain Village, prepare to return. If you have five days or more and are particularly interested in tea culture, day one: rest in the city, walk around and see the night view. The next day: Mengla, buy a ticket to Yiwu Ancient Town on the second day, visit Wangtianshu Scenic Area, and stay in Mengla. On the fifth day, go to Nanji Mountain: Jinuo Mountain Village or Dai Nationality Garden, and prepare for the return trip. If you have five or more days and love hiking in Jinghong, contact forest coffee and other planned hiking routes, or come to Luoda Town via Mengjing to contact a local tour guide, or drive to Mengzi in Niuyi, and prepare Return trip. The whole journey takes about three days (see the attraction introduction for the specific route), and then you can return to Jinghong to cultivate yourself, visit a few regular attractions, and then prepare to return.
If you have half a month, while referring to the one-week itinerary, consider applying for the border inspection permit for outbound travel in Luang Prabang, because it seems that the border inspection permit can only be obtained in Mengla (possibly Hong can also apply after the World Expo). It takes 3 days to obtain the certificate. If you have enough time, you can consider outbound travel. There is a car to go to Luang Prabang, Laos. Luang Prabang is the old capital of Laos, which is equivalent to Lijiang, Laos. Although the consumption in Laos is not low, it is still not too high compared with the real Lijiang. Two people are going to exchange 600 yuan for 3 days of Laos currency (kips, kip, 1 yuan = 1230 kip ~ 1240 kip). It's enough if it's not too extravagant.
Mainly look at Buddhist culture and the colonial culture left after French colonization. If you come to Banna for a month to spend the winter, for people who live in severe cold, it is a very happy thing to have plenty of sunshine and delicious Dai barbecue. I fled to Wuhan in March. It was very cold there, and I was still wearing my cotton coat. As soon as I got off the plane, I fell into the summer warmth and felt like I was thawing instantly. Since it was a long, quiet time to get out of the cold, there was no point in planning anything.
Go wherever you go, have a cup of coffee on a warm afternoon, watch the people coming and going on the street, or take a shuttle bus to a scenic spot. If you have a lifetime, if you fall in love with this place, then over time you will be assimilated to this slow life, and the fast-paced hustle and bustle of the city and complex interpersonal relationships will gradually be forgotten. The rising sun is like a long dream. Maybe when you suddenly wake up, your life has passed leisurely.
