Article 2 The objects of priority for supporting the military are mainly active military personnel (including the People's Armed Police), revolutionary disabled military personnel, retired military personnel, family members of revolutionary martyrs, family members of military personnel who died, died of illness, or disappeared, and family members of active military personnel. They should all be respected by society and receive preferential treatment from the country and the people. Article 3: General preferential treatment shall be provided to the family members of conscripts who live in rural areas (including conscripts who enlisted from their workplaces). The form of preferential treatment is generally cash preferential treatment, partial grain preferential treatment, or other preferential treatment methods suitable for local conditions and characteristics.

The standard for preferential treatment is generally equivalent to two-thirds of the total annual income of a local mid-level labor force, and the minimum should not be less than one-half. The specific methods and standards for preferential treatment shall be stipulated by the people's governments of each county (city, special zone, district). Article 8: The people's governments of townships, ethnic townships and towns must effectively implement preferential treatment in rural areas.
