Planning to go to Jeju Island, South Korea on your own for your honeymoon. Where are there places to visit or places to visit? Do you have any guide?
I will be going there soon, so I will summarize the information I collected for your reference:
First of all, generally speaking, the major attractions in Jeju Island are mainly divided into three areas: Zhongwen Tourist Area (Note that this Chinese does not mean Chinese, but is a Korean transliteration), Seogwipo City, Seongsan District.
1. Jungmun Tourist Area
It is located in Jungmun-dong, Seogwipo City, Jeju Island. Affected by the warm climate of the south, the park has rich and beautiful landscapes, making it the leading tourist attraction in the Jeju region. Jungmun Park faces Halla Mountain to the north and the boundless blue sea to the south. It is only a 30-minute drive from Jeju International Airport, making it an excellent location. There is an endless stream of tourists from home and abroad who visit here all year round. It is a veritable international comprehensive tourist park, which is relatively high-end. The attractions that can be played and seen include:
Jeju Lotte Hotel (recommended stay):
The courtyard is very beautiful, and the iconic attraction is the windmill landscape. Many Korean dramas including Secret Garden were filmed here. There is a Lotte Duty Free Shop on the sixth floor. The prices of Korean cosmetics are lower than those in Seoul. It is worth a visit. There is also Lotte Casino next to it, which is said to be good, so you can try your luck there.
Teddy Bear Museum (highly recommended):
The Korean Drama Palace was filmed here. It contains many classic teddy bear styles, suitable for girls and couples.
Cheonjeyeon Falls:
The largest waterfall in Jeju, the valley has beautiful scenery, green trees, crystal clear waterfalls and beautiful scenery.
Lemeidi Botanical Garden:
Everywhere is filled with the atmosphere of the South. It is the largest botanical garden in Asia, covering an area of ??about 34,000 square meters. The greenhouse area is 3,800 square meters. There are butterfly garden, aquatic botanical garden, ecological garden, tropical fruit garden, succulent plant garden, central observation deck, etc. in the greenhouse, and more than 2,000 rare plant species are cultivated. Climbing up to the 38-meter-high observation deck, you can not only enjoy the beautiful scenery of Jungmun Tourist Area, natural waterfalls, Halla Mountain and nearby coastal areas, but on clear days you can see Marado Island, located at the southernmost tip of South Korea.
Columnar joint zone (recommended):
This is a magical masterpiece of the creator of nature. These black stone pillars have spent 500,000 years proudly accompanied by waves every day. Designated as Natural Monument No. 443. The so-called columnar joints refer to vertical joints that appear in basalt lava, and most of them are polygonal (usually four or hexagonal). It is the result of magma erupting from the crater, flowing into the Seogwipo coast, rapidly cooling when encountering sea water, and shrinking.

2. The Chengshan area on the east side of the island:
I did some research and found it more interesting. The main attractions are as follows:
Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak (highly recommended):
The huge rock standing at the east end of Jeju Island is one of the 360 ??sub-volcanoes of Halla Mountain and the world’s largest. The largest crater jutting out from the coast. There are 99 strange rocks around the crater, which together look like a huge crown. Surrounding Sunrise Peak is a prairie with idyllic and beautiful scenery. You can ride horses on the grassland. People who often watch Korean dramas must be familiar with this scenery.
Uujima:
It is opposite Sunrise Peak and can be reached by speedboat. There are many terraced fields on the island, with simple folk customs and beautiful rural scenery. It is the best place to experience Jeju folk customs.
Seopji Cape (highly recommended)
Seopji Cape protrudes from the east coast of Jeju Island. When spring comes, rapeseed flowers and the beautiful coastal scenery with Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak as the background It's top notch. There is Xinyang Bathing Beach at the beginning and endless hills and plains of rapeseed fields at the end. The short-legged horses grazing leisurely, the coastal cliffs surrounded by rocks, and the standing rock standing tall in the sky are places where you can encounter the typical beauty of Jeju.
Song Hye Kyo grew up in the chapel here in the Korean drama "All?in". The chapel built for the drama was still preserved as a landscape.
There is a lighthouse at one end of Seopji Cape, and there is a stone wall for wind protection on the road leading to the lighthouse. There are iron steps on the lighthouse that make it easy to climb up. Standing on the railing, you can have a panoramic view of the scenery of Shedi Kezhi coast. ?On the vast and gentle hillside of Khao Di, there is a beacon tower with a stone structure (about 4 meters high and in a square shape with a side of 9 meters), which still retains its original appearance.
In the plot of ALL?IN?, as Inha (played by Lee Byung-hun) builds a hut on the oasis as a gift to propose to Soo-yeon (played by Song Hye-kyo), the blue sea and cliffs develop. The beautiful scenery composed of the white lighthouses on the side is also deeply rooted in the hearts of the audience, indirectly establishing the shooting scene as a cultural and tourist attraction.
Tiger Never Leaving:
It is also a typical place to see the scenery of Jeju, which is relatively original.
There is also Jeju Seongeup Folk Village nearby, where you can see folk customs.
3.?Seogwipo City
Personally, I feel that many comrades who travel independently live in Seogwipo City, which is more convenient for eating and drinking. As for the sightseeing, it seems to be nothing.
In addition, students with good physical strength can climb Halla Mountain, the highest mountain in South Korea. It is said that it takes 10 hours to go up, and the scenery is good.
There is a Yongduam scenic spot near Gimpo Airport, but according to people who have been there, it is very small and incomparable to the dragon landscape in China. To the west is Kip Chae Beach, where "Dae Jang Geum" was filmed.
Basically, that’s it. By the way, I heard from those who have just been there that Lotte Duty Free is currently having an event, and there is a promotion of giving away 10,000 won for purchases over 100 US dollars before March 31. Hope you can make it.
Have fun!
