Maoming Open-air Ecological Park was originally Maoming Open-pit Mine, located in the northwest corner of Maoming City, with a linear distance of about 800 meters from Hongqi North Road in the city. The park covers an area of 10.07 square kilometers, formerly known as oil shale mine. 20 13 12 3 1 was handed over by Maoming Petrochemical Company to Maoming Municipal Government. The open-pit mine broke ground in August 1958, was put into production in June/962, and stopped production in June/993. The cumulative exploitation of oil shale was about 102 million tons, and the shale crude oil was 2.92 million tons.
