Do people who have been released on bail need to report when they travel abroad?

Legal analysis: need. According to the law, a person who has been released on bail pending trial may not leave the city or county where he lives without justifiable reasons. If there is a justifiable reason to leave the city or county where he lives, it shall be approved by the person in charge of the public security police station responsible for implementation. If the deposit has been paid illegally, the public security organ shall, according to the circumstances of the violation, decide to confiscate part or all of the deposit, and according to different circumstances, order it to make a statement of repentance, re-pay the deposit, propose a guarantor, change compulsory measures or impose administrative penalties on public security. But in practice, there is no such harsh implementation. So there's nothing wrong with you only going out for two weeks. However, I suggest you call the police station to show your respect. Of course, it doesn't matter if you can come back in time without notice.

Legal basis: Article 71 of the Criminal Procedure Law of People's Republic of China (PRC), criminal suspects and defendants who have been released on bail pending trial shall abide by the following provisions:

(a) without the approval of the executive organ, shall not leave the city or county where they live;

(two) if the address, work unit and contact information change, report to the executing organ within twenty-four hours;

(3) Being present in time when being arraigned;

(four) shall not interfere with the testimony of witnesses in any form;

(five) shall not destroy or forge evidence or collusion.
