Zhengding Ancient City has a history of more than 1,600 years. It was built with earth in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, with stone in the Northern Zhou Dynasty, and was expanded into a Tucheng in the Tang Dynasty. After expansion in the Ming Dynasty, it was transformed into a brick city with a circumference of 24 miles. The existing Zhengding City Wall is a relic of the Ming Dynasty and is 8,106 meters long.
