Description of visa application
China citizens holding any passport (except HKSAR passport holders) are required to apply for a visa when entering or transiting Canada.
The Canadian visa application center accepts all kinds of temporary resident visa applications (including work permit visas and study permit visas) and permanent residents' applications for return travel documents. The website of the Visa Center covers the visa application process and other relevant information. Please read it carefully before submitting your application.
All immigration applications should be processed directly at the Canadian embassy/consulate.
The visa application fee is paid in RMB cash. No matter whether the visa is issued or not, the visa application fee will not be refunded.

Visa application process
The visa applicant determines the purpose and itinerary of going to Canada;
Log in to the Canadian Embassy in official website, browse the relevant visa information, download the visa application form and the list of materials needed to apply for a visa;
Prepare visa application materials;
Go through the visa application procedures at the visa application center or embassy or consulate entrusted by Canada;
Waiting for visa review or supplementary information;
Get a visa. After obtaining a visa, you should carefully check whether all the information on the visa is correct, especially whether the start and end time and the number of days of stay of the visa are consistent with the application, and whether the personal information on the visa, such as the spelling of the name, is correct. If you find something wrong, you should contact the Canadian embassy or consulate or visa application center in time.
Second, the materials needed to apply for a visa
Note: All Chinese documents in the visa application materials must be accompanied by English or French translations.
1, visiting relatives and friends
Basic materials:
Fill in a complete application form for temporary residence visa.

Valid passports of the applicant and each accompanying family member. Except the last page, each passport must contain at least one blank page, and the passport must be valid for at least six months before the trip.
Copy of the applicant's Chinese identity card (front and back).
Two copies of self-adhesive paper with the applicant's current address written in Chinese (no envelope required).

/kloc-applicants under the age of 0/8 should have a parental consent issued by their unaccompanied parents, which should include the applicant's travel date and the contact information of their parents.
If you are employed, use the original leave letter on company letterhead and signed by the employer, and include the following information: the applicant's name, position, income, employment date, the employer's full Chinese name, address, telephone number and fax number.
If you retire, you need a retirement certificate stating the applicant's pension.
If the applicant is a student and travels during non-school holidays, the original letter issued by the school to prove his good study and performance and agree to his absence is required.
Proof of funds. Show original bank documents (such as deposit certificate, passbook, etc.). ) and proof of assets in China (such as original real estate license and original vehicle registration certificate). ).
Other materials:
An invitation letter stating the purpose and duration of the visit.
Information about the inviter. A detailed list of the inviter's family members, a copy of the inviter's citizenship or immigration identity certificate, and proof of the inviter's income and property status. If you invite people to study in Canada, you need an admission notice issued by the school.
2. Tourism (groups of four or less)
The basic materials are the same as "visiting relatives and friends".
Detailed travel itinerary.
Proof of past travel (such as passport).
The full name and address of the agent who assisted the applicant in arranging this trip (whether the agent is in China or Canada).
3, tourism (with the travel agency group)

4. Business
The basic materials are the same as "visiting relatives and friends".
Invitation letter. If you engage in inter-company business activities, it must be issued by the party who has direct business dealings with the applicant, not by a third party who only assists in arranging business meetings. The invitation letter must include the full name and position, company address, telephone number and fax number of the inviter; Names of all members of the delegation, their respective positions and full names of their respective employers; The reason for the invitation, including the details of the proposed business or transaction; Estimated visit time and detailed itinerary; A statement explaining the responsibility for paying all the expenses related to this trip.
If you attend a trade show or other business meeting, you need to provide a letter from the organizer confirming that the applicant is registered.
Use the original fake letter with the company's letterhead and the employer's signature, and include the following information: travel purpose; Name, position, income and employment date of the applicant; Chinese full name, address, telephone number and fax number of the employer; A statement explaining the responsibility for paying all the expenses related to this trip.

6. Short-term research (six months or less)

7. study permit visa
Fill in the complete application form for study permit (IMM 1294). If the applicant's spouse and/or children travel together, they should also use the correct application form to complete their application information.
Please fill in the Family Information Form, Education and Employment Details filled out by the applicant in Chinese, English or French. The applicant's parents fill in the Family Information Form and Education and Employment Information Form respectively.
Applicants are required to submit two identical color or black-and-white photos taken in the past six months with a pure white or light background. The frame size is 35mm x.

8. Student Cooperation Program Visa

Four. Visa information
1. Entry visa:

Multiple entry visa: During the validity period of the visa, multiple entry into Canada from other countries is allowed. Its validity period may be as long as 10 years or equivalent to the validity period of a passport.
Super visa for parents and grandparents: Parents and grandparents of Canadian citizens or permanent residents can stay in Canada for up to 24 months at a time, without renewing their identity. Applicants must be able to enter Canada and meet an additional requirement to obtain this visa.
2. Transit visa: It is applicable to applicants who go to other countries through a stopover in Canada, and the stopover time of the flight does not exceed 48 hours. In order to obtain a transit visa, you must provide detailed proof of your itinerary.
