Introduction of riding precautions and skills

There are many ways to travel, and each way has its own advantages. Among them, the freest way to travel is riding, watching the scenery along the way, welcoming the sunrise and sending the sunset, which is very free and comfortable, but this way of travel is not suitable for everyone.

The problems of cycling travel are more unpredictable than those encountered by other modes of transportation, and there are some unknown dangers. Then, Bian Xiao will explain some riding precautions and riding skills for you! Put it away! They are all dry goods!

First, the matters needing attention and common sense of riding a long journey:

1, not suitable for people who travel long distances by bike:

This group mainly refers to people with the following diseases.

People with heart disease. These people avoid any strenuous exercise, including basketball, football, table tennis, badminton, running, mountain climbing and so on. And cycling tourism belongs to the category of strenuous exercise.

When these people do strenuous exercise, they will increase the burden on their hearts and suffer unexpected pain, which is very prone to riding accidents.

Patients with hypertension. These people are in danger of sudden cerebral hemorrhage when riding bicycles, especially at high speed.

3. People with epilepsy. If these people suddenly get sick while riding bicycles, there will be great danger.

People who have had brain surgery. These people may have epilepsy.

Five people suffer from angiitis obliterans. These people will cause pain in their legs (mainly calves and toes) during long-term cycling. If this happens, it will be difficult to walk.

Six pregnant women. Due to the inflexibility of the car body, there are great safety hazards during riding.

2, riding sign language:

During riding, if teammates communicate with each other in language, it is difficult to hear clearly what the other party is saying, or they can't hear at all. Therefore, it is necessary to learn to use cycling sign language. It can strengthen the connection between teammates during riding, and it is also an important means of reminding, warning, informing and contacting each other.

There are obstacles (stones, glass, pits, etc.). ) On the ground. Hands tilted to the ground. The left hand means left ground, and the right hand means right ground.

Second, slow down. Raise your hand a few times.

Three, stop the car. Hands up.

Four turns. The left arm extends horizontally to the left to indicate a left turn, and the right arm extends to the right to indicate a right turn.

Fifth, signal the rear car to overtake itself. Raise your arms and shake them back and forth.

3, ride safety rules:

Obey traffic regulations, don't run red lights, don't go backwards, and don't get on the fast lane.

Second, don't tow the car, but don't get too close. The rider in front should avoid sudden braking, and don't overtake in the curve when going downhill to avoid accidents.

When three players leave the team, they should inform the other players and agree on the time and place to wait.

Learn to use bicycle sign language. If there is a dangerous road ahead, try to convey it backwards.

Avoid walking at night, and there must be lighting when walking at night.

Take care of teammates and female teammates with poor physical strength.

4. Pain and discomfort during riding:

In the process of long-distance cycling, there are often some pains and discomforts, which can be avoided and alleviated by the adjustment of people and cars.

Achilles tendon: located at the back of ankle, connecting fibula muscle and heel. The pain in this part indicates that there is something wrong with pedaling or the height of the saddle is not suitable. It can be solved by changing the pedal position of the foot and readjusting the height of the saddle.

Ankle: The above situation can also cause ankle pain, or it may be caused by flat feet. If it is flat feet, you can put some plastic pads in your shoes to solve it. Another possibility is that the crank or pedal shaft is bent.

Three backs: generally caused by incorrect riding posture. The correct riding posture should be that the upper body leans forward and the back arches slightly, instead of collapsing or going straight down. This way, you won't hurt your back when the road is bumpy.

If it is a downward collapse posture, it will collapse even more when bumping, and the spine will be excessively dislocated, which will make the back feel pain. If it is a straight posture, it will make the spine squeeze each other and cause pain when bumping.

Quadruped: Foot discomfort is usually caused by shoes and socks. Too soft soles will make the pressure on your feet too concentrated. In addition, too high gear ratio will force the cyclist to pedal with great force, which will also cause foot pain.

So it's best to buy a pair of cycling shoes with hard soles, or wear a pair of shoes with thick soles and suitable socks.

Five hands and five wrists: long-term riding will make your fingers numb.

Rough roads can also hurt palms and wrists. You should always change the position of holding the racket with both hands and move your hands and wrists. In addition, it is very beneficial to wear gloves and wristbands when riding. It is suggested to install a pair of big horn handles (or handlebars) to rest hands and wrists during riding.

Six knees: There are several main reasons for knee pain. Too much force, too high transmission ratio, too low saddle, legs shaking left and right when pedaling. Correcting these symptoms will alleviate or eliminate them.

Seven Shoulders: Shoulders feel uncomfortable mostly because the handlebar is too low or too narrow. When adjusting the height of saddle, adjust the height of handle at the same time.

Second, riding skills:

1, correct riding posture

The upper body leans forward, the head leans forward slightly, and the arms naturally bend when looking forward. Hold the handlebar lightly and forcefully with both hands, bend your waist, and pedal your feet vertically around the garden to avoid swinging your legs left and right, and distribute your weight evenly on your hips, feet and hands.

2. Develop a good habit of pedaling.

Many people are used to touching the pedal with the sole of their feet, which is a very bad habit when riding long distances. The correct pedaling method should be pedaling with the forefoot.

But riding for a long time, only one posture is easy to cause fatigue, and so are the legs and feet, so you should always change the pedaling mode. Cyclists mainly use three pedaling methods: freestyle pedaling, toe pedaling and heel pedaling.

Freestyle pedaling is the most widely used method. The key point of this pedaling method is that the pedal contacts with the forefoot. The angle between ankle joint and calf varies with the position of foot, and the direction of force is consistent with the circumferential tangent formed when pedal rotates.

Its advantage is that the range of motion of knee joint and thigh is reduced, and muscles can be relatively relaxed.

3. Riding skills on uphill and downhill slopes

Up the hill:

Generally speaking, short slopes should be completed by accelerating the use of inertial upwelling. On a long or steep slope, change gears and keep a certain frequency and intensity of pedaling.

The riding skills of uphill are mainly aimed at long slopes and steep slopes. When climbing a steep slope, the cyclist's center of gravity should move forward, keep pedaling at a constant speed, shift gears in time, don't stop or make sudden efforts, and don't get off easily. Shift timing depends on slope and speed.

There are two principles to master the timing of shifting. One is to let the cyclist pedal evenly, and the other is to shift gears earlier than the time needed. Don't wait until the cyclist can't move and the speed drops completely before shifting gears, otherwise you will not be able to complete the shifting action and be forced to get off. The steeper the slope, the lower the gear should be.

In addition, don't get too close to the front and rear cars, because it is inevitable to swing from side to side when going uphill, which is prone to accidents.

Second downhill:

The safety factor when going downhill is very low, so the first criterion when going downhill is to ensure safety. In order to ensure absolute safety, we should first move the center of gravity backward and do the following:

First, carefully check the vehicle before going downhill, especially the brakes, to keep it sensitive and reliable;

Second, keep the speed within the range that the rider can control;

Third, when braking, the rear brake is the main one, and the front and rear brakes are used at the same time, but the timing of using the front brake should lag behind the rear brake to avoid using the front brake and sudden brake alone;

Fourth, look ahead at least 30 meters, pay attention, don't look around, and slow down in advance when you find the situation, such as when the road color changes;

Fifth, when passing through a curve, the car body and the car should be kept on a plane or a straight line, and both of them should be inclined to the curve at the same time to overcome centrifugal force. The inclination angle depends on the speed and the radius of the curve, but generally does not exceed 28. Do not overtake in corners, and it is best not to overtake downhill;

Six, the rear car and the front car should keep a large distance (not less than 30 meters), to prevent the front car from affecting the line of sight, and it is too late to brake in case of sudden accidents;

Seventh, if the ramp is too long or steep, get off and have a rest, and check the vehicle in time. When you get off the bus, try to slow down and lean back to ensure your balance when you stop.

Three, road slope and signs and how to avoid cars:

1. Road grades and signs:

At present, expressway in China can be divided into five grades. The highest grade is expressway, with a fully enclosed overpass and the lowest speed limit. Cars (including motorcycles) and non-motor vehicles that fail to meet the speed requirements cannot drive on expressway.

Secondly, the national highway funded by the state; The second is the provincial highway, which is funded by the provinces; There is also a county road, funded by the county; Finally, township roads are funded by towns and villages.

National and provincial roads have milestones and 100-meter piles, and traffic signs are relatively complete. County roads generally have milestones, but 100-meter piles may not. Traffic signs are not complete and standardized, and rural roads generally do not have these facilities.

Milestones of highways at all levels are white backgrounds, with road numbers above and Arabic numerals below. Their difference is that the national highway is red, the provincial highway is blue and the county road is black.

The road number consists of one letter and three Arabic numerals, the national highway letter is G, the provincial highway letter is S, the county highway letter is X, the first digit of the three Arabic numerals of national highway and provincial highway represents the direction, "1" is the radiation from Beijing, and the kilometers are counted from Beijing.

"G 1 12 line" is a special case. The whole line is in Tianjin and Hebei province, and it is a Beijing ring road, starting and ending in Tianjin. "2" is the north-south longitudinal line, and the kilometers are counted from north to south. "3" is the east-west horizontal line, and kilometers are counted from east to west.

The first digit in the provincial number is not "1", only "2" and "3". County road numbers usually consist of the first Chinese characters at the beginning and end.

2. How to avoid cars:

It is inevitable and frequent for riders to meet cars while traveling. How to ensure driving safety and avoid traffic accidents can refer to the following points for attention:

First, train yourself to always pay attention to all directions, that is to say, you can judge the model and approximate distance of the oncoming car only by listening, and you can accurately judge the distance and speed of the oncoming car by visual inspection.

Second, on the narrow road, don't pull over to avoid it too early, let the driver find himself as soon as possible, so as to slow down and avoid the danger of driving calmly when approaching.

3. When there are cars coming before and after and they will meet nearby, you should take the method of accelerating or decelerating to avoid the meeting point.

Don't be too close to the car when going downhill, so as to avoid danger when the car suddenly brakes.

Clothing (cycling clothes) should be brightly colored, such as red and yellow. Convenient for car drivers to find themselves.

In fact, each mode of travel has its own advantages and disadvantages. Riding is very free and leisurely. You can enjoy the scenery as you like, but there are also many troubles in this way. I hope you can read an introduction and common sense carefully and choose the right way to travel.
