Harbin Travel Notes: There is no heavy snow in the north, but there are regrets and surprises.
I think I will remember this trip and the people I met for a long time. Although this trip was not perfect, I couldn't see the scenery I wanted to see as planned, but because of these regrets, I can have another experience and thank the people and things I met along the way.
Day1
after a long journey, we finally arrived at Harbin airport at one o'clock at noon. As soon as we got out of the airport gate, we felt its deep goodwill, and the weather was clear and cloudless.
After getting on the bus in Harbin, we set off for the place where we live. My first impression of Harbin is that the city is so big that I can never see the end of its street. I can see all kinds of ice sculptures along the way, but strangely, I didn't see much snow. Before I came, I thought I could see thick piles of snow in any corner of the street at will, and I couldn't help feeling a little disappointed. After getting off the bus, we went to look for food. At this time, it was already past three o'clock in the afternoon. Because we were strangers and the store was rarely open during the New Year, we searched for a long time before we found a restaurant where we could eat.
this store is in the basement, which is quite new to us who have never seen the world in the south. But later, we found that many restaurants in Harbin were located in the basement. When the proprietress asked us what we wanted to eat with a strong northeast accent, we were at a loss because we couldn't hear what the boss said at all. When they spoke, they looked like they had a mouthful of water in their mouths. We southerners are not used to it. The boss was also attracted by our accent and helped us get food while chatting with us. At that meal, we ate a very authentic northeast dish? Stewed fish with tofu and eggplant as side dishes. When eating in Harbin, you should eat it while it is hot, and it should be accompanied by rice. Otherwise, the taste of the food is biased and you can't eat it after it is cold. After dinner, I took a warm car back to my residence. The warm car is a special means of transportation here. If you are destined to Harbin in the future, you can feel it.
after returning to the hotel, we quickly put on some thick clothes and went out. It got dark early in winter in the north, and before six o'clock, Harbin turned into night. The temperature difference between day and night here is quite large. The warmth left by the sunshine during the day is washed away by the cold night, and the temperature drops to freezing point when the night arrives. We live in Daxin Street, which is a little far from the Central Street. We need to take a bus. Although the road is a little far from the scenic spots, a Guangdong elder brother we met later told us that Daxin Street is the cheapest place to stay in Harbin. We stayed here for two nights, and we have a deep understanding. The price is really real and the accommodation is comfortable.
Although we have put on three pairs of thick trousers and put on warm babies, we are still shivering with cold when we walk on the streets of Harbin. The Central Street is not as beautiful as I expected. Personally, it is a very commercial street. The shops around it are very Russian, and people are crowded. No matter where the camera takes pictures, people are crowded. On several occasions, I have to look back at my two friends and worry that we will be washed away by the crowd. I noticed that many people in the past were holding Mattel ice cream or sausage in their hands. The spectacular scene of eating ice cream at MINUS several degrees in winter can only be seen in the streets of Harbin. Later, we also bought ice cream, sausage and Sugar-Coated Berry for early adopters. Sugar-Coated Berry himself thought it was delicious, and the ice cream was good, but the taste of sausage was too heavy for us southerners.
avoiding the crowded people on the central street, we quickly set off for Hagia Sophia. I don't know whether the route was unfamiliar or because of the cold. I felt that I had traveled a long way to reach Hagia Sophia that night, and my expectation was already full on the road. Therefore, when I saw Hagia Sophia in the dim light, I was deeply attracted by her beauty. Her beauty is quiet and low-key, like a dignified and serious nun, which makes people feel awe. Due to the weather and the lateness of the hour, there are not many people coming here, just in line with the temperament of Hagia Sophia at night. With a satisfied heart, we embarked on the way back, only to find that when I came, I felt that the road was far from an illusion. Walking and feeling hungry, we ate jiaozi and tomato soup in an alley. The reality of Harbin people is also reflected in the weight of the food. The two pots of jiaozi and tomato soup we ordered were very full, and we finally had to waste food.
Day2
because of the hard work of the previous two days, we decided to sleep naturally the next day, but the hateful biological clock woke me up early. So he sat on the stool. As the other two friends woke up, we went out to welcome the next day.
but the next day was not satisfactory. Nevertheless, we still had a lot of surprises that day. For example, breakfast, after eating the door of many shops, we decided to ask an uncle passing by for help. Grandpa was very enthusiastic, not only showed us the way, but also took us directly to dinner. Sure enough, the northeast is full of living Lei Feng, and the people I met in Harbin next made me feel good about this cold place. Although it is cold, people's hearts are warm, which is a touching place that some bustling cities lack. Uncle really didn't introduce me wrong. This simple Huimin restaurant has a delicious breakfast. To our surprise, its mutton soup is three yuan, but it is full of meat, and the soup has no mutton smell. Even my two friends who are afraid of eating sheep praise this bowl of mutton soup. What surprises us even more is that we met a big brother from Shaoguan here, so we didn't talk to him much because of the time problem. When we left, he told us several times that if we came to this small shop for dinner again tonight, he would cook for us personally. When we left, we were worried that we wouldn't go to the scenic spot, and explained the route several times before looking at us to leave.
Our first stop was Central Street, because our next stop was Xuexiang, which was too far away, so we followed the local people's advice and joined the group. But I didn't expect to waste so much time on this link that our next time was not enough, which led to a series of unpleasant occurrences. We arrived at Hagia Sophia at a galloping speed. She is another kind of beauty during the day. If she is dignified and serious at night, she is elegant and generous during the day. She was sitting there in no hurry. Even though there were so many people who came to see her during the day that it could have disturbed her silence, she still gave people a very comfortable feeling, unlike in Central Street, where my mind was disturbed again and again by the crowds. During the day, there are many pigeons on the dome and bricks of Hagia Sophia. When they fly together, it seems that the church bell rings in my ear, which is mysterious and clear. The clearly visible bricks and tiles show the history of this building to people. If the weather is warm and sunny, I would like to sit in the seat next to me and just stay for one day, just to see the blue sky, the flying pigeons and the quiet Hagia Sophia.
When we went to Harbin Institute of Technology, we ate the food from Laochang Spring Cake Store. No wonder the Raiders always recommended that we must go to this store to eat. The food was really delicious, and our friends were very satisfied. After eating enough and storing enough energy, we went on our way, but we all underestimated the distance between Harbin Station and Harbin Station. If there is enough time, I suggest you walk more and press the road, because the scenery along Harbin is beautiful, and the buildings are particularly distinctive, with a strong style of Moscow architecture. If time is not enough, it is recommended to take a taxi. The starting price of taxis in Harbin is not high. For such a long street, taking a taxi is the best time-saving way.
After coming to Harbin Institute of Technology, we were quite disappointed. We did see a lot of snow here, but it was covered with a layer of black coal ash. The streets are dirty and the trunks are dark, which is really terrible. The most disappointing thing is Zhen Hong, who insisted on coming, because he felt that the universities in every place must be able to reveal the humanistic characteristics of this place to some extent. The dirty environment of Harbin Institute of Technology and Heilongjiang University made me lose a lot of points in my impression of Heilongjiang. After coming out of the campus, the night is gradually coming, and the Russian-style town is definitely impossible to go. I am still full of expectations for this scenic spot. I didn't make it, and I was full of evil spirits. Zhenhong probably felt it and felt very embarrassed. The atmosphere was very embarrassing along the way. Fortunately, we went to the Songhua River, where the scenery solved our little contradiction. In winter, the Songhua River is covered with a thick layer of ice, and people and cars can walk freely on it. A row of withered trees by the river, these trees should be some years old, with tall and tough trunks decorated with lights, which make them transparent and crystal clear. Seeing such a beautiful tree, I naturally devoted myself to taking pictures. I can't remember being angry. On the way back, I saw a group of people skating on the river. Some people sat in chairs and walked forward with a stick in each hand. We also experienced skating, which was quite fresh, but it was a little cold. Tired of playing, I stood alone on the ice waiting for the other two friends. Looking up at the dark night sky, I saw a few sparse Kongming lanterns rising slowly. It's full of the wishes of the lamplighters. If it were me, what wishes would I write on it, and can these wishes be realized more easily over a foreign land? After thinking, my mood suddenly became clear, and I don't know why.
Life is like this, and it can't always be smooth sailing. Today's regrets are also the most common portrayal of life. So with a little regret, we returned to our place full of joy, and we found a lot of warehouse purchases along the way. On the way to Harbin Institute of Technology, we found this feature of Harbin, asked passers-by and learned that warehouse purchase means grocery store. The shops selling fruits in Harbin are also very distinctive. The houses built of glass are full of fruits, but the fruits in Harbin are not delicious. The lack of sunshine all the year round in winter can't cultivate sweet fruits. I have to miss the fruits in the northwest on the streets of a foreign land.
in the evening, we went back to the restaurant where we had breakfast as promised. Brother Shaoguan was quite surprised. He really cooked three special dishes for us, and we invited Brother Wu and Zhenhong to have a few drinks. During the dinner, we talked about Brother Wu's career, experience, hometown and his wife and children. During the conversation, I felt his loneliness and helplessness. Although he always talked about everything with a smile, when he finally left, he said that he planned to go back to Guangdong to open a restaurant next year for the sake of children. I had nothing to give this stranger but my best wishes, hoping that his store would be successful for a long time. You don't have to be separated from your family for a long time to live.
Day3
I never imagined that there was a big regret waiting for us on this ice and snow trip, so that even the original intention of the trip had to be changed in the end.
Because of the weather, the expressway is frozen, and the Highway Bureau is afraid of an accident and blocked the road. The shuttle bus leaving for Xuexiang that day can only be delayed on the road. Looking at the cars piled up in front and behind, some people in the car began to panic and clamored to get off and go back, but the way back was long and long, and it seemed that it took more courage to abandon the car and go back. Just when everyone was at a loss, the long-lost tour guide finally came back. It turned out that the tour guide of each car had just held an emergency meeting together. He told us that it was too dangerous to take the path now. If you really want to go to Xuexiang, you can only take the expressway. If the Highway Bureau closed the road, you can only keep calling the mayor, because there was a situation that the road was frozen one year. Later, thousands of people called the mayor, and the mayor finally compromised to let the police car open. It's a pity that all the people on the bus came to Harbin all the way, so it's a pity to return. So everyone in the car took out their mobile phones and dialed tacitly. Guangyu, who is on the side, is also anxious and upset. She really wants to go to Xuexiang to see the snow, and I don't like the feeling of loss. In addition, everything has been booked for our trip. If we can't go to Xuexiang, the next thing will be a little troublesome. Moreover, the train tickets and train tickets from Harbin to Guangzhou and Beijing are sold out, so we can only take an expensive plane back. The more I think about it, the more worried I am, and I pray silently that everything will not be lost.
just, bad news finally came. After everyone was dying for a while, the tour guide announced that we had to return. This followed the guide's wishes. He told us at the beginning of the trip that he didn't want to come out to work during the Spring Festival. I didn't have the heart to think about this established fact, and I began to worry about what to do next. Just when I was in a dilemma, my uncle from Shenzhen gave me good advice. He often travels, and he has visited almost all of China. He told me that Dalian, Qingdao, Tianjin and Beijing are all worth visiting. Later, after returning to Harbing, we also accepted my uncle's advice and took an overnight train from Harbin to Tianjin, and then from Tianjin to Beijing.
This change has given me a deep experience, and my mood has also experienced a roller coaster experience. I felt desperate at first, but later I thought that I couldn't get through it because my obsession was too deep. Everything has a flexible way of dealing with it. When things become irreversible, we can also change our mentality. Look at the snow as a fate. The beauty of nature is supposed to be unattainable, and some things in life are the same. If you try hard, even if you leave regrets, you can only accept it calmly. It turns out that sudden changes sometimes bring unexpected gains. Our trip to regret is beginning to get interesting.
There was another thing that moved me in our last time in Harbin. After returning to the hotel, we quickly made contingency measures and made a good trip. Because of the bad sleep the day before yesterday and the constant fatigue of the boat and car. Guangyu and I didn't want to move any more, so we collapsed on the sofa and decided to fall asleep. When the boss saw our pity, he asked us to go to the guest room to have a rest. We were flattered and grateful, but we didn't dare to accept such kindness. In the end, we really couldn't beat the boss and accepted her kindness generously. I've been to so many places, and it's the first time I've seen such a simple and kind folk custom. I'm leaving tonight, and I'll remember everything that happened here.
Day4
After a night's train, we arrived and brought Tianjin as scheduled. Unexpectedly, we didn't see the snow in Harbin, but our wishes came true in Qinhuangdao. At first, the snow was very light, like a flurry of light rain. Zhenhong was the first to find it snowing outside the window. I didn't care at first, until the snow was getting bigger and bigger, showing a goose feather shape, I really realized that our fate with snow was not over. Our fuss brought a little life to the dull carriage. Egged on by other passengers, we ran out of the car when the train stopped and had a close contact with the snow. It turns out that the touch of snow is such a feeling, very light and cool, and it melts in the palm of your hand for only one second. The snow in Qinhuangdao is very white and delicate. What would it feel like if it snowed in Harbin? I still want to experience it if I have the opportunity.
because of the unexpected snow, I have a hunch that the next journey will be accompanied by luck. Sure enough, we soon fell in love with the city of Tianjin. In fact, Tianjin is not big, but it is full of literary and artistic models. Many schools here are either located next to churches or close to Italian style streets.
