Lishui is the largest prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Zhejiang Province.

Lishui, formerly known as Chuzhou, is located in the southwest of Zhejiang Province. Its topography is dominated by mountains and hills, and it inclines from southwest to northeast. It has jurisdiction over a municipal district: Liandu and seven counties: qingtian county, Jinyun, Suichang, Songyang, Yunhe, Qingyuan and Jingning, and a county-level city: Longquan. Lishui people belong to Jiangsu and Zhejiang ethnic groups and use Wu dialect. Lishui culture belongs to Wuyue culture.

Lishui is called "Zhejiang Green Valley". There are 3573 peaks at an altitude of 1000 meters. The elevation of Huangmao Peak in fengyangshan of Longquan City is 1929 m, and that of Baishan Formation in Qingyuan City is 1856.7 m, which are the first and second peaks in Zhejiang Province respectively. Lishui City is the third batch of national ecological demonstration zones. It has been rated as "China Excellent Tourism City" and "China Excellent Eco-tourism City" successively. Lishui was rated as the first batch of national ecological protection and construction demonstration zones.

Lishui is subtropical, with both maritime and mountainous climate characteristics. Therefore, Lishui is rich in tourism resources. It has "One Lake (Nanming Lake Scenic Area), Three Mountains (Baiyun Mountain Scenic Area, Wanxiang Mountain Scenic Area and Nanming Mountain Scenic Area), Three Islands (Gucheng Island, Zhong 'an Island and Biwa Island), and Ten Scenes (Hu Axiang, Gu Yan, Kowloon Wetland Park, Shi Niu Hot Spring, Sidu Fitness, One Kiss for a Thousand Years, Romantic Baiyan, Celebrity Nanming, Baiyun Forest, Chuzhou Capital, Kuo.
