Liu Keng, Dong Shi, worshiping and respecting religion, shared prosperity with Kodi, and became a typical Jiangnan family. Sometimes there is a reputation of "five scholars in one door, four ministers in two dynasties, both civil and military, and scholars like stars". Liukeng Ancient Village is "the first village of Jiangxi culture", which is known as "the first village through the ages", "the last orphan of China's farming and reading civilization" and "the living fossil of China's ancient rural civilization".

Liukeng is an ancient village inhabited by Jiangyou people, with 260 existing architectural sites, including 19 in Ming Dynasty and 32 1 important cultural relics. Xu Xiake, a traveler in the Ming Dynasty, once traveled to Liukeng Village and praised it: "It is a city of thousands of households, with five crowns in the east." The "Five Guifang" mentioned here is an archway built to commemorate the grand occasion of five Dong Shi people entering the imperial examination at the same time in the first year of Song Renzong Jingyou (1034), which is rare in history and can be described as a privilege.

The architectural pattern of Liukeng ancient village;

Liukeng Ancient Village is far away from Castle Peak Archway and close to Wujiang River, which is the clear water in the upper reaches of Enjiang River. The river flows west along the east of the village and connects with the Longhu Lake in the village. Around the ancient village, there are towering old trees and swaying bamboos along the river bank, forming a beautiful environment surrounded by mountains and rivers. The main body of Liukeng Village basically preserved the regular pattern from Jiajing to Wanli in the Ming Dynasty, with a "seven vertical and one horizontal" roadway as the skeleton, and many alleys in the roadway were connected. Watchtowers were built at the head and tail of the main roadway, which opened early and closed late to strengthen defense.

Seven vertical lanes directly face the river bank and echo the wharf, which is convenient for introducing river wind into the village and ensuring fresh air. The drainage system in the village is perfect. Introduce natural water and domestic water into Longhu Lake and then into Wujiang River outside the village for natural sewage discharge. In addition to the main layout, ancestral halls, temples, streets, attics, archways, stockyards and trees are all built according to the terrain, making Liukeng look like an ideal city.
