The institutional responsibilities of the National Tourism Administration of the People's Republic of China and the People's Republic of China

(1) Coordinate the development of tourism, formulate development policies, plans and standards, draft relevant draft laws and regulations and supervise their implementation, and guide local tourism work.

(2) Formulate and organize the implementation of market development strategies for domestic tourism, inbound tourism and outbound tourism, and organize external publicity and major promotion activities for the overall image of national tourism. Guide the work of Chinese tourism agencies abroad.

(3) Organize the census, planning, development and related protection work of tourism resources, guide the planning and development of key tourist areas, tourist destinations and tourist routes, and guide leisure vacations. Monitor the operation of the tourism economy and be responsible for the release of tourism statistics and industry information. Coordinate and guide holiday tourism and red tourism work.

(4) Responsibility for regulating the tourism market order, supervising and managing service quality, and safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of tourism consumers and operators. Standardize the operation and service behavior of tourism enterprises and employees. Organize the formulation and implementation of standards for tourist areas, tourist facilities, tourist services, tourist products, etc. Responsible for the comprehensive coordination, supervision and management of tourism safety, and guiding emergency rescue work. Guide the construction of spiritual civilization and integrity system in the tourism industry, and guide the business work of industry organizations.

(5) Promote international exchanges and cooperation in tourism and undertake matters related to cooperation with international tourism organizations. Formulate overseas travel and border tourism policies and organize their implementation. Examine and approve foreign tourism agencies established in my country in accordance with the law, examine the market access qualifications of foreign-invested travel agencies, examine and approve travel agencies operating international tourism business in accordance with the law, and examine and approve outbound (outbound) tourism and border tourism. Responsible for special tourism related work.

(6) Work with relevant departments to formulate tourism policies for Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan and organize their implementation, and guide the promotion of tourism markets for Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. Responsible for matters related to mainland residents traveling to Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan in accordance with regulations, examine and approve tourism agencies established by Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan in the mainland in accordance with the law, and review the market access qualifications of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan-invested travel agencies.

(7) Formulate and organize the implementation of tourism talent planning and guide tourism training work. Work with relevant departments to formulate professional qualification standards and grade standards for tourism employees and guide their implementation.

(8) Undertake other matters assigned by the State Council.
