The following is a detailed introduction for you. 1. There are 6 types of visas for traveling to Hong Kong and Macao: Individual travel G: divided into three months or one year, valid for one, two or multiple entries, and can stay for seven days each time. Apply for geographical restrictions to enter Hong Kong The cities in Guangdong Province and 28 cities announced by the Ministry of Commerce that are open to individual tourism so far and have direct access to Hong Kong include Shanghai, Beijing, Nanjing, Suzhou, Wuxi, Hangzhou, Ningbo, Taizhou, Fuzhou, Residents of Xiamen, Quanzhou, Tianjin, Chongqing, Chengdu, Jinan, Shenyang, Dalian, Nanchang, Changsha, Nanning, Haikou, Guiyang, Kunming, Shijiazhuang, Zhengzhou, Changchun, Hefei and Wuhan) can apply for free travel to Hong Kong and Macao, multiple times Entry endorsements are currently only issued to residents with Shenzhen registered residence. The validity period of Hong Kong G visa and L visa are: once in 3 months, twice in 3 months, once in 1 year, and twice in 1 year. Macau visas used to be of these four types, but recently the applications for visas twice every three months and twice a year have been cancelled. L visa does not affect free travel. 3. First-time application and renewal First-time application must be submitted in person to the Exit-Entry Administration Office at the place of residence. The application materials include: original and copy of resident ID card and household registration book (copied on A4 paper, can be copied on the same paper) (above), 2 2-inch color photos with light background (you can also take photos on site at your own expense), and apply for visas to Hong Kong and Macau respectively. If you only go to Hong Kong, apply for a Hong Kong endorsement; if you only go to Macau, apply for a Macau endorsement. If you go to both Hong Kong and Macau, you must apply for both places. The processing time limit is 10 working days from the date of acceptance. The fee for "Pass to Travel to and from Hong Kong and Macao" is RMB 100 each; a single travel endorsement is RMB 20 each; a second travel endorsement is RMB 40 each. To apply for a travel permit and endorsement for traveling to Hong Kong and Macao for the first time, the applicant must submit the application in person at the entry-exit permit hall of the local public security bureau. You cannot entrust an agent to apply for it! To renew, you can apply for it in person with your ID card and a valid "Travel Permit to and from Hong Kong and Macao", or you can apply for it on behalf of the agent. Passengers holding a passport and staying in Hong Kong and holding a valid passport of a Chinese citizen traveling to other countries or regions through Hong Kong can meet the general entry requirements, including holding a valid entry document for the destination and a confirmed onward journey for overseas travel. Cars/boats/air tickets are allowed to stay in Hong Kong for 7 days each time they enter Hong Kong without having to obtain entry authorization in advance.
