The Millennium Ancient Yantian Scenic Spot is a free minority scenic spot, which is rarely visited by general tour groups.

If you drive by car, you can start from Danzhou and go to Baimajing. You can turn left on a path to get there before you reach the cross-sea bridge. This is an open-air parking lot, which is in a semi-paved and semi-muddy state and can park dozens of cars and RVs.

Millennium Ancient Yantian is located in Danzhou Yangpu Development Zone. This ancient salt field is 750 mu with a history of 1200 years.

This is the number one scenic spot in Yangpu, but it is too small for tourists who don't live locally.

Salt-making workers use local materials, cut off half of the large natural volcanic rocks by the sea, and chisel them into countless shallow stone troughs, like a square inkstone. There are currently more than 1000 stone troughs like this.

Usually, the filtered seawater is injected into stone troughs, and when the tide rises, the seawater will automatically move into these stone troughs and be exposed to salt in the hot sun. It is said that even now, there are still more than 30 salt workers drying salt in this ancient way every summer.

The scale and nature of salt ponds and salt drying platforms made of basalt like inkstone can only be felt when you are there, but the ancient operation methods are rare at present.

Compared with large-scale salt fields, the salt produced by indigenous methods in ancient salt fields is small in quantity and not low in price.

It is interesting to see a cute little suckling pig lying innocently on the stove, sometimes lying down, sometimes turning over and lying on his back. There is always sesame oil falling, touching the flames and rising high. It's not finished until it turns brown.

Go for a walk after a full meal. Lu Yu is a goat who eats grass leisurely. The villagers introduced that this is an excellent local black goat breed. They looked at me with round eyes and MengMeng looked at me quietly.
