Hainan Island Tourist Highway is located along the coast of Hainan Island, running through Haikou, Wenchang, Qionghai, Wanning, Lingshui, Sanya, Ledong, Dongfang, Changjiang, Danzhou, Lingao and Chengmai coastal 12 cities and counties and a national development zone, organically connecting 9 tourist towns, 37 industrial towns, more than 50 tourist attractions and resorts along the way.

The total mileage of Hainan Island tourist highway project is about 1000 km, and the total mileage of connecting lines is 442 km. The main line of the project is 989 kilometers, of which 454.2 kilometers are newly rebuilt and 534.8 kilometers are utilized. The total length of the connecting line is 440.4 kilometers, of which 58.2 kilometers are newly rebuilt and 382.438+0 kilometers are utilized. The general section of the main line adopts the design standard of two-lane three-class highway, with a design speed of 40 km/h or 30 km/h and a subgrade width of 9.5 meters.

Significance of Tourism Highway Construction in Hainan Island

There will be 40 stations on Hainan Island Tourist Highway, which is a comprehensive tourist service facility integrating the functions of "tourist service base, characteristic tourist products and regional integration platform". The construction of post stations should follow the principle of adjusting measures to local conditions, and build green post stations, health post stations, wisdom post stations, humanities post stations and low-carbon post stations with Hainan characteristics, international leadership, classic inheritance and high industrialization level.
