How long does it take to visit the memorial hall of Sun Yat-sen's former residence in Shanghai?

The memorial hall of Sun Yat-sen's former residence is a scenic spot in Shanghai. Regardless of the travel time, the tour duration of this scenic spot is generally 1-2 hours.

The memorial hall of Sun Yat-sen's former residence is located on the busy and quiet Xiangshan Road next to Huaihai Road. It consists of two buildings, Sun Yat-sen's former residence, formerly known as Molly Ailu Apartment, which was bought by overseas Chinese living in Canada at that time and presented to Sun Yat-sen. It is the place where Sun Yat-sen resigned as a naval and field marshal in June 2008 and lived with his wife after returning from Guangzhou.

Sun Yat-sen Cultural Relics Museum and Sun Yat-sen's former residence are European-style buildings. The Museum of Cultural Relics was not Sun Yat-sen's residence, and later it was opened to display cultural relics. The former residence of Sun Yat-sen was the place where Sun Yat-sen lived at that time. There are arrows in both buildings to indicate the tour route. Follow the arrow. Both buildings are small.

Walking into the iron gate of the memorial hall, the first thing you see is a statue of Sun Yat-sen, followed by the Sun Yat-sen Cultural Relics Museum. A temporary exhibition related to Sun Yat-sen will be held irregularly in a small room on the left outside the Cultural Relics Museum. After watching the exhibition in the small room, you can enter through the door with the horizontal plaque of Sun Yat-sen Cultural Relics Museum. There are some information about Shanghai tourism on the shelf at the entrance of the first floor, which can be taken for free.

There is no exhibition on the first floor. Go directly to the second floor. After going upstairs, the small room on the right hand side is the film and television room, in which the TV documentary "Approaching Sun Yat-sen" is scrolled. The second floor contains articles used by Sun Yat-sen, worn tunic suits, various Chinese and English documents published at that time, and silver tripod donated by patriots to the north. On the wall near the door, you can see the calligraphy of "The world is public". The third floor is generally closed to tourists. Follow the arrow and go down the stairs on the other side to the first floor. There is a shopping spot that sells souvenirs related to Sun Yat-sen. ..

The museum of cultural relics enters at the front door and exits at the back door. You can see the building of Sun Yat-sen's former residence when you come out from the back door. To the right is the lawn in front of the former residence building, surrounded by trees and flowers such as holly, camphor and magnolia. Bai Yutang is climbing on the wall in front of the building, and standing in the small garden feels particularly elegant. Go to the left and enter the former residence. You can visit two floors. On the first floor, there is a kitchen, a dining room and a living room. On the second floor, there is a bedroom, a study and a small living room. Most of the furnishings in the building are original. According to his wife's memories before her death, they are arranged as they were in the 1920s and 1930s.

There are shoe covers in the central box of the room where the former residence entered the door. Help yourself. You need to wear shoe covers to visit your former residence. Don't leave directly after putting on the shoe cover. You can also visit the room with the shoe covers. This is the kitchen. There were coal stoves and gas stoves in the 1930s, all of which were imported from abroad. Gas stoves can still be used today, and not every family can afford them abroad. Then I visited the restaurant and reception room on the first floor. There is a photo of Sun Yat-sen hanging in the reception room, surrounded by ribbons in the shape of a bell, indicating that Dr. Sun Yat-sen wants to wake up the people of China with the revolutionary bell.

Follow the directional arrow to the second floor. The bedroom on the second floor is simple and warm, with wardrobe, dressing table, two single beds, two chairs, a backrest sofa chair and an inclined desk. There are bookcases on the side, north and west of the landlord, with a hexagonal table in the middle and a desk next to it. After visiting the small living room and going downstairs, the former residence enters and exits through the same door. Remember to put the shoe covers back in the box in the lobby.

Xiangshan road, where the memorial hall of Sun Yat-sen's former residence is located, including Sinan road next to it, has a good environment. On both sides of the road are French phoenix trees that cover the sky. The small house is hidden in the shade of a tree. You can walk along the road and see the scenery of the old Shanghai concession. It is next to the former residence.

It is also a place with memories of old Shanghai. In autumn, the colorful leaves of the French phoenix tree in the park are all over the road, which is very beautiful.
