Fengyan Village is 24 kilometers away from Xingwen County and 23 kilometers away from the seat of the township government. The village covers an area of 7.64 square kilometers, which is a typical karst landform. It administers 7 villagers' groups with 248 households and 926 people, including 21 Miao households with 854 people, accounting for 92.2% of the village population. It is the administrative village with the highest proportion of Miao population in Sichuan Province. There were 65 poor households and 263 people in the village, and all of them reached the standard to get rid of poverty in 216.
