Wutai Mountain Scenic Area consists of Taihuai District, Beisi District and 12 independent scenic areas outside the boundary line, with a total area of ??607.43 square kilometers. Among them, the Taihuai area covers an area of ??592.88 square kilometers, the Beixing area covers an area of ??14.44 square kilometers, and the 12 independent scenic spots outside the border cover an area of ??0.11 square kilometers.

The core scenic area consists of the Taihuai core scenic area and the Beigaosi core scenic area, covering an area of ??184.15 square kilometers. Among them, the core scenic area of ??Taihuai is 179.46 square kilometers and the core scenic area of ??Beiguo Temple is 4.69 square kilometers.

3. Wutai Mountain Travel Information

The best time to travel to Wutai Mountain is summer, with July and August being the best. The vegetation coverage rate on the mountain reaches 90%. It can be said to be beautiful mountains and clear waters, shaded by green trees, and the air quality is also the best. In summer, the weather is a bit sunny at noon (the altitude is relatively high, so it is recommended to bring a parasol and apply sunscreen). The temperature is low in the morning and evening, and it feels very comfortable and fresh, so Mount Wutai is also known as a summer resort.

Summer is the peak tourist season, so there are other expenses such as accommodation, meals and so on. It may be higher in scenic spots and there are many people. Try to avoid peak tourist seasons and choose a suitable time to visit.

Ticket price:

First of all, Wutai Mountain tickets are divided into peak season and off-season, which are two implementation standards.

High season ticket price: 145 yuan/person (April 1 to October 30)

Off season ticket price: 120 yuan/person (November 1 to 3 March 31st)

There are some famous temples you can visit, but you still have to pay extra. It’s usually ten yuan.

Route:

The classic route is to visit the main temples in the central area of ??Taihuai Town (within Taihuai), which takes about half a day. You can visit in the following order: Dailuoding - Luoqi Temple - (there is a small door on the right side of the Manjusri Hall in Luoqi Temple leading to the Bodhisattva Hall and Fairy Tong Hall) Bodhisattva Hall - (turn right under the Bodhisattva Hall) Fairy Tong Hall - (turn right after the archway of Xiantong Hall) Tayuan Temple - (walk 10 meters to the left from the south gate of Tayuan Temple) Wanfo Pavilion (commonly known as Wuye Hall). If you have enough time, you can also choose to visit the temples in the central area of ??Taihuai Town and visit the Buddha Mother Cave on the first morning. The next morning, I visited four temples around the town of Taihuai, which are famous for their stone carvings. After leaving Taihuai Town in the afternoon, we visited Beixing Temple and Nanchan Temple, and finally went to Taiyuan or Xinzhou.

Transportation:

You can choose to drive, or take a train or car. After the train arrives at the station, you can take public transportation or take a taxi to the scenic spot. For self-driving parking, you can choose to park in the parking lot near Shuxiang Temple.

Accommodation and food:

There are many places to stay near Mount Wutai. You can choose according to your own needs, such as Mount Wutai Marriott Hotel, Mount Wutai Jinxiu Villa, Mount Wutai Flower Villa, Haitong Hotel, and Longqiao Hotel, Wutai Mountain Wangmi Hotel, etc. There are many hotels, so it is recommended to choose the right place to stay carefully.

I have been to Mount Wutai. The scenery there is very beautiful, mainly the mountains with good cultural scenery and continuous peaks. It takes an hour by tour bus. If you are traveling with the elderly, your legs and feet must be convenient because you have to walk some distance. The temples are on the mountain, and only Guanghua Temple is at the foot of the mountain. If you want to see more, you still have to walk some distance. Old people should be healthy. Guanghua Temple is the best, you can go and see it.

Booking instructions:

1. Tickets can only be used at the same time on the day of booking!

Two. Refund policy: If tourists who order a single ticket need to refund, they must do so between 03:00-23:30 on the day of booking and the day of use. If the ticket expires, he/she cannot refund it. Visitors who have ordered multiple tickets must cancel any one of them between 03:00-23:30 on the day of booking and the day of use. All tickets will remain unused. If an order contains used tickets, the order will not be returned.

8. Wutai Mountain Tourism Network

Wutai Mountain is located in Wutai County, Xinzhou City. This is a famous summer resort with beautiful scenery, surrounded by five peaks like a platform. In addition, it is also the dojo of Manjushri Bodhisattva and has many temples, ranking first among the four famous Buddhist mountains in China. This is a dojo where the Huang Temple (Tibetan) and the Miao Qing Temple (Han) coexist. You can not only see Han monks, but also Tibetan lamas.

If you think of the five fingers as a towering five-set, then the palm of your hand is Taihuai Zhen. Huai Town is the geographical center and accommodation base of Wutai Mountain Scenic Area. Most of the temples are also concentrated here and are a must-see for tourists. When going to Wutai Mountain, you usually have food and accommodation in Taihuai Town. Three days of travel is more suitable, and you can basically visit all the major temples. When you come to Mount Wutai, you must do two things. One is to go to major temples to worship Buddha, and the other is to go to Wutai (Dachaotai) to worship. It is recommended to worship Buddha in temples for two days and pray in Taiwan for one day.
