Asuncion

Asunción is the capital of the Republic of Paraguay and the largest city in the country. It is located on the east coast of Paraguay, at the confluence of the Picomayo and Paraguay rivers. Asunción is a picturesque inland port city, people call it the "city of forest and water". The hillsides are high and hilly, and are dotted with orange orchards. When the harvest season comes, bright red oranges are hung all over the orange trees, like bright lights, so many people call Asuncion the "Orange City".

Oriental City

Oriental City (Spanish: Ciudad del Este, translated as Ciudad del Este in the Republic of China) is a city in the Republic of Paraguay. The capital of the southeastern province of Alto Paraná. Oriental City is the second largest city in Paraguay and has the highest proportion of Asians among the Latin American cities.

Guajira Falls

Falls in front of the Paraná River on the Brazil-Paraguay border. Directly west of Guaira, Brazil, it consists of 18 large and small waterfalls. The total drop is about 114 meters. After flowing through the Maracaju Mountains, the width of the Paraná River suddenly dropped from 381 meters to 61 meters. The river water flew and surged between the canyon cliffs, collapsing cliffs and turning rocks, thundering in the valleys, and the sound reached 32 kilometers. In addition, a rainbow hangs high above the waterfall, and the amount of water falling from the waterfall ranks first among the world's waterfalls. It is a famous tourist attraction. A joint venture between Paraguay and Brazil built the nearby 12,600 million Huaytepu Hydropower Station, which was completed in 1982. The dam and spillway complex is almost 8 kilometers long and is one of the most powerful hydropower projects in the world. After the Itaipu Dam was completed, the entire Guajira Falls group was submerged by the reservoir.
