Is the cliff of Longtou Mountain open now?

The cliff of Longtoushan Mountain is closed to the public. Since August 2022, many departments in Leibo County of Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture have issued a notice to implement long-term mountain closure management for the cliff area of Longtoushan. As of February 1 day, 2024, no notice of deregulation has been issued. Longtou Cliff is located at the junction of Leibo, Meigu and Zhaojue counties in Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, China, on the edge of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. This geographical symbol is famous for its spectacular geological landscape, with the highest elevation of 3724 meters and the lowest elevation of 960 meters. The geological feature of the cliff in Longtoushan is east-west, the cliff is nearly 90 degrees vertical, and the drop exceeds 1000 meters, so it is vividly called the edge of the earth. The natural scenery in this area is unique, with clouds all the year round and beautiful clouds. Because of its well-protected virgin forest and ecological environment, there are also rare animals and plants including giant panda, Davidia involucrata and Taxus chinensis.
