Maolan Eco-tourism Zone is a national nature reserve, located in Libo County, Guangxi, near the Huanjiang River. It belongs to the humid monsoon climate in the middle subtropical zone and is a typical karst peak-cluster funnel and peak-cluster depression landform. The altitude is 430m- 1078m. The reserve was established in 1984, and joined the UNESCO network of man and biosphere reserves in 1996, becoming a world biosphere reserve.
