I. Entry and exit instructions

The entry and exit regulations of Italian customs are basically the same as those of other Schengen countries in the European Union. According to Article 5 of the Schengen Treaty, citizens of non-Schengen countries must meet the following conditions when entering Italy:

Note: Under special circumstances, the Italian government's consular representative offices abroad will issue foreigners a pass only for entering Italy.

3. Possess documents that can prove their entry purpose and stay conditions, and prove that they have sufficient funds to guarantee the expenses during their stay in Italy and pay for the travel expenses to return home or go to a third country. (excluding foreigners who have lived in Schengen and obtained formal residence);

4. Holding a valid entry or transit visa;

(1) Foreigners who have already lived in Schengen countries and obtained formal residence may be exempted from visas if their stay period does not exceed 3 months. However, if you enter Italy for work or internship, you will not enjoy the above visa-free treatment.

(2) Foreigners who have obtained official residence in Italy are also visa-free.

5. No entry record;

6. This is not regarded as a threat to Italian public order, national security and international relations.

Anyone who does not meet any of the above conditions, even with an entry or transit visa, will be refused entry by the Italian border authorities.

Tips:

The Italian government attaches great importance to crime of trafficking in children. Therefore, if you bring underage children into the country, you'd better prepare for notarization of kinship. Second, the customs regulations

Entering Italy from non-EU countries or going to non-EU countries from Italy shall comply with the following provisions:

1. Provisions on bringing consumer goods into and out of the country

Enter a country

Consumer goods carried by passengers in their personal luggage may be exempted from customs duties when entering Italy, but such goods shall not be of the nature of trade import, and the total value shall not exceed 175 euros. /kloc-The maximum amount of articles carried by minors under the age of 0/5 is 90 euros.

In addition, for some specific commodities (wine, cigarettes, etc. ), the number of duty-free goods that passengers can carry is limited as follows:

2. Alcoholic drinks: You can take one of the following two items.

4. Coffee: You can carry one of the following two items.

(1) 500g coffee

(2) 200g espresso or espresso.

5. Tea: You can carry one of the following two items.

The above items are not included in the tax-free items of 175 euros.

Passengers carrying articles exceeding the above restrictions when entering Italy shall declare to the customs; The part exceeding the quota shall be subject to customs duties.

Goods purchased in Italy by travelers living in non-EU countries can enjoy VAT exemption, provided that the following conditions are met:

2. The goods are for personal or family use only, and are carried in the passengers' personal luggage;

3. The commodity invoice shall indicate the name of the commodity, the personal data of the passenger and the details of his passport or other travel documents;

4. The goods leave the EU within three months from the date of purchase;

5. Passengers should send the goods that apply for tax reduction and exemption together with the invoice to the customs exit office of the European Union, and the customs exit office will stamp the invoice with a customs visa (VISTO

6. Before finally leaving the EU, the invoices stamped with customs visas will be delivered to companies specializing in VAT reduction and exemption, and these companies will refund the passengers' VAT in the form of cash or transfer.

Goods exempted from value-added tax shall not be taken out of the country by passengers, and may also be checked by airlines to their destinations. In this case, the transport company will issue an air transport certificate (LTA) to the passengers.

After handling the consignment formalities, the customs exit office will stamp the customs visa only after verifying that the following conditions are true:

1. The air transport certificate is consistent with the description of the goods in the invoice issued by the merchant;

2. The sender and the recipient of the goods are the same;

3. The air transport certificate is consistent with the passenger's personal identity information (passport or other documents with the same effect) indicated on the invoice issued by the merchant.

If the consumer goods carried by passengers when entering Italy exceed the above restrictions, they need to declare to the customs; Goods that exceed the duty-free share are subject to customs duties.

Cats and dogs

Protected animals

Some animals from specific areas (such as parrots, scorpions, snakes, turtles, etc. ) belongs to the protected category in the Washington Treaty. Visitors who want to bring these animals into Italy must show the export licenses (CITES) issued by the countries of origin of the animals.

Animals listed in appendix 1 of Washington Treaty are absolutely forbidden to enter Italy, such as leopards and cheetahs.

Ivory, leather and coral

3. Provisions on the Administration of Entry and Exit of Cultural Relics

Passengers carrying cultural relics into the country need to show the purchase invoice and certificate of origin to the customs. The customs will ask the cultural relics and environmental protection department to identify the artworks.

If you want to take cultural relics with historical and artistic value (such as paintings, sculptures, decorative bottles with a history of more than 50 years, furniture with a history of more than 0/00 years, etc.) out of the country, you need to hold the National Exit Permit and the Customs Notice issued by the Cultural Relics Administration Exit Office.
