The Temple of Heaven is the largest complex of buildings dedicated to heaven in the world. The Temple of Heaven has two layers of walls, and is divided into two parts: the inner altar and the outer altar. The main buildings are concentrated in the inner altar. The main building of the Temple of Heaven is on the north-south central axis of the inner altar. The Circular Mound Altar is in the south, offering sacrifices to heaven, including the Circular Mound, the Imperial Vault, etc.; the Praying Valley Altar is in the north, praying for the valley, including the Hall of Praying for Good Harvests, the Hall of Emperor Qian, and the Gate of Praying for Good Harvests. , separated by a wall. The two altars are connected by a Danbi Bridge (also known as Haiyuan Avenue or Shinto), which is 360 meters long, nearly 30 meters wide, low in the south and high in the north. On both sides of Danbi Bridge are large areas of ancient Berlin. There is a fasting palace in the west wall of the inner altar, which is the residence where the emperor fasted before the sacrifice. In the west wall of the outer altar are the Divine Music Department, the Sacrifice Hall, etc. The main buildings in the altar include the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests, the Hall of Emperor Qian, the Circular Mound, the Imperial Vault, the Zhai Palace, the Beamless Hall, the Long Corridor, the Double-ring Wanshou Pavilion, etc., as well as the Echo Wall, the Three-tone Stone, the Seven-Star Stone and other places of interest.
