Countries that do not need a visa to come to China.

China has visa-free countries: UAE, Barbados, Bahamas, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ecuador, Fiji, Grenada, Mauritius, San Marino, Seychelles, Serbia, Tonga, Kazakhstan, Qatar, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Spain and Malaysia.

In addition to the countries (14) that exempt ordinary passports and visas from each other, the countries that can enter China without visas include the United Arab Emirates, Barbados, Bahamas, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ecuador, Fiji, Grenada, Mauritius, San Marino, Seychelles, Serbia, Tonga, Kazakhstan, Qatar, and so on, five countries have been added with unilateral visa-free entry and one country with mutual exemption.

On November 24th, 223, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China announced that China had decided to expand the scope of unilateral visa-free countries on a trial basis, and implemented a unilateral visa-free policy for holders of ordinary passports in six countries: France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Spain and Malaysia.

Two days later, Malaysian Prime Minister said on 26th that Malaysia will implement visa-free convenience measures for China citizens within 3 days from December 1st.

This means that people with ordinary passports from the above countries who come to China for business, sightseeing, visiting relatives and friends and transit for less than 15 days can enter China without a visa. Those who do not meet the visa-free conditions in the above countries still need to complete their visas to China before entering the country. The implementation of this policy will help to promote exchanges and cooperation between China and these six countries, and also help to enhance the friendship and mutual trust between the two peoples.

What's the significance of the trial of unilateral visa exemption

The trial implementation of the unilateral visa exemption policy is of positive significance for promoting economic and trade activities, business trips and tourists' visits between these six countries and China.

In the past, due to the limitations of visa policies, such as long visa application time and many forms, the resumption of inbound tourism was limited. This trial visa-free has solved this card point, which is good for the faster recovery and development of inbound tourism in China.

From the perspective of economics, inbound tourism is considered as a new incremental opportunity in the tourism market. At the same time, the increase of inbound tourism is a sign of opening to the outside world. Opening to the outside world is a long-term national strategy, which can increase the international competitiveness and innovation of Chinese enterprises. Inbound tourism is also of great significance to enhance the international image and help to shape China's friendly international image.
