Luoyang Mangshan Qiaozhuang Travel Guide Xiaolangdi Water Conservancy Project

Luoyang Mangshan Qiaozhuang is an ancient village full of humanistic characteristics. Here you can feel the harmony between heaven and earth and all things, and every place is full of simplicity and vicissitudes. The traces of history retain the historical picture of the hardships of our ancestors in starting a business. Every place can be touching and emotional, and it is indeed worth a visit.

In the early morning, it was raining and foggy, and the rugged Xiaolangdi Line headed north.

Enter the south gate of the Xiaolangdi Water Conservancy Dam Scenic Area, go forward 200 meters, turn right, and drive two kilometers to Qiaozhuang Village.

In the early Ming Dynasty, Qiao family moved from Shanxi to the south bank of the Yellow River in Beimang, where villagers practiced medicine for generations. Qiaozhuang people built kilns close to the mountains, with tall gates and wide courtyards. The "doctor's nest" was once famous on both sides of the Yellow River.

Now the high gorge of Xiaolangdi Reservoir leaves Pinghu Lake. However, the prosperity of Qiaozhuang Village is no longer there, and it is getting older peacefully over the years.

It was like snow under the walnut tree

There was a leafy walnut tree at the east end of the village, with green fruits hanging all over the branches. Behind the tree is a large courtyard door.

The old woman with silver hair as white as snow stood chatting with me outside the gate. The corns next to her had sprouted their tassels and were full of life.

“Several million dollars were spent to build the cement road in front of the house, and the street lights were installed, but they were almost never lit,” the old woman said.

My grandson came back from the county town to visit grandma and told us: Grandma lives in the old house by herself, few people come to the village, and everyone she meets is like family.

While we were talking, a little squirrel jumped across the road, glanced at us secretly, and ran to the cornfield.

The green trees and gray tiles are staggered

On the south side of the road is the ancient village of Qiaozhuang. The courtyard is well-proportioned and hidden among the green trees, and the roof tiles are lined up in rows on the hillside. Vaguely visible are the broken tile eaves and exposed mud walls.

The Hairpin Flower Stone Path leads to a secluded place

A red stone path winds downwards, with green plants on both sides and tiny flowers of various colors at its feet.

Go through the red stone arched gate and go down the stairs to enter the ancient village.

The Watch of the Honey Locust Trees

Two tall honey locust trees stood upright in the light rain. One side of the three-hundred-year-old tree was decayed, but it still had luxuriant branches and twisted leaves. Crouching dragon, covering the sky and the sun. They have witnessed the prosperity of farming civilization in Qiaozhuang Village, and they still silently guard the hometown dream of Qiaozhuang people.

The courtyard is full of green, and the loneliness is waiting for people to return

Step forward on the clean floral path, and every ancient house along the way is covered with green grass.

There are also some courtyards where green grass surrounds the gate, guarding the home and courtyard. Since we're not allowed in, let's just be a layman.

A milling plate is silent in the grass in the light rain. The milled rice has nourished many generations of Qiaozhuang people. Now I recall Jiangnan music, when I was young and had thin clothes.

The chun trees are in bloom, covering the eaves; the mulberry trees are blooming, decorating the old wooden lattice windows.

There are also courtyards with open doors, but only broken bricks and tiles covering the doors. The courtyards are full of green, lonely and looking forward to people returning.

The gate, eaves and piers are all carved with exquisite flowers and strange-shaped beasts. After years of polishing, it is still stunning.

The shade of the fig tree

There is a courtyard further ahead, where old man Qiao Du lives alone. He says that his children and grandchildren are in Shanxi, and he is the only one guarding the old house.

There is an old fig tree in the yard, its broad leaves shade the entire courtyard. The sweet taste of figs should be an everlasting memory on the tongues of our children and grandchildren no matter how long or far they travel.

Seeing a guest coming, the goat in the wing looked at me curiously through the red window pane. Come in and say hello. The three sheep chatted freely with me, telling me about their owner's charity.

White dog, calf, visitor to Beijing

Old man Liu Jinjing was enjoying the cool air at the door. A little white dog loyally guards him. The granddaughter brought the dog back from Shanghai, saying she was afraid that grandpa would be lonely.

In a simple cowshed outside the grinding wheel at the entrance of the courtyard, a cow and a calf that was just half a month old were circling around the grinding wheel. A newborn calf is not afraid of tigers. It knows how difficult it is for its ancestors to make a living around this grinding plate day after day.

Qiao Weiming Art Museum

The former residence of Qiao Weiming, a famous painter from Luoyang University of Technology, is under renovation. The front wall of the two-hole cave dwelling is decorated with millstones embedded in an orderly manner, which is simple and elegant. The former residence is named "Qiao Weiming Art Museum". Couplets on both sides: Write life freely and with true nature and true feelings.

The collected stone mills, stone rollers, and stone troughs are scattered around the wall. It is unknown where these objects will be decorated in the future. When the art museum is completed, I will definitely revisit the place and visit it again if I have the opportunity.

Qiao Family Ancestral Hall

The western end of the ancient village is the Qiao Family Ancestral Hall, built on high steps. Qiao Changhai and his wife live here temporarily, and they are peeling cowpeas. Talk to us enthusiastically.

There are two inscriptions embedded in the walls on both sides of the front hall, made in Daoguang and the Republic of China respectively, recording the history of the Qiao family. There are two plaques above the stele, one with the words "Family Sound Pi Zhen" and the other with "Filial Piety, Kindness and Benefit".

The ancestral hall is spacious and clean, with wing rooms on both sides and a cave directly opposite. The top of the cave is shaded by green trees.

Entering the kiln, the "Qiao Ancestor Shrine" is enshrined in the middle. On both sides of the shrine are painted flying apsaras and two dragons playing with pearls. The colors are bright and lifelike.

The "Twenty-Four Filial Piety Pictures" are painted in ink on both walls of the cave dwelling. Filial piety is the first priority in all industries, which is a metaphor for teaching people to be filial, filial and kind.

Baili cyclists

I happened to meet Mengzhou cyclists who were about the same age and rode hundreds of miles to explore the ancient village. I admired their perseverance. I also used to ride a bicycle, but now I often lament that Lian Po is old. Don't lament that others ride well. Those who ride all over the green mountains will never grow old.

The courtyard is full of poultry, and the old lady is charming

Back on the main street, there is a old lady having lunch, with two big bowls full of hand-rolled noodles. The old lady was smiling all over her face, inviting her warmly, and her smile was so pure and warm.

The plump chickens roamed leisurely all over the yard, and a kitten looked at its owner flatteringly and meowed: How about a bowl of noodles? I want garlic but not noodles.

The little yellow dog with a beauty mark was lying calmly at the door, with a look of disdain on his face: Look at the cat’s flattering look, we never let him eat.

It has never been difficult to climb to the top of the ancient village

The old man said that there is an earth village on the top of the back slope. When encountering soldiers and bandits, the young and old in the village would hide in the village and close the door of the village. .

Crawling along the slope with an umbrella, there are wild jujubes and peppercorns growing on the slope, and the slope is full of thorns as it drags and pulls. When we reached the top of the slope, the rain became heavier and heavier, our clothes and pants were all wet, and it was difficult to walk in the mud, so we had to turn back halfway.

On the way home, it was misty and rainy

On the way home, when I left the Xiaolangdi landscape gate, I looked back in the mist and mist. There are four hundred and eighty temples in the Southern Dynasty, and there are many towers in the mist.
