On June 25th, 2002, 65438+1October 2nd1,the international ecotourism standard was officially promulgated and implemented at the International Ecotourism Conference in Cairns, Australia. According to the spirit of Mohawk Agreement, international ecotourism standards put forward eight principles of ecotourism products, namely:

7. Eco-tourism always meets consumers' wishes;

8. Eco-tourism adheres to the marketing strategy of honesty and seeking truth from facts in order to form realistic expectations.

In August, 2004, the international ecotourism standards were revised for the first time, and the principles of ecotourism were expressed more specifically, which were summarized as follows: 1 1:

1. Eco-tourism operators publicly promise to follow the principles of eco-tourism and bring them into the management system to ensure its implementation effect;

2. Eco-tourism allows tourists to experience nature personally;

3. Eco-tourism provides tourists with opportunities to experience nature and culture, thus enhancing their understanding, appreciation and praise of nature and culture;

4. On the basis of ecological sustainability and understanding the potential environmental impact, determine the appropriate eco-tourism management model;

5. Eco-tourism products should be managed in an ecologically sustainable way to ensure that commercial activities do not affect environmental quality;

6. Eco-tourism should make a practical contribution to the protection of natural areas;

7. Eco-tourism should make continuous contributions to the development of local communities;

8. Eco-tourism products must maintain respect and sensitivity to local culture in the development and management stages;

9, ecotourism products should meet or exceed the expectations of tourists;

10. Eco-tourism provides tourists with real and accurate product information, which makes tourists have realistic expectations for products;
