Tourist Attractions

1. Yemadu (Yemao Cave)

"Yemadu", formerly known as "Yemao Cave", is an ancient village on the north bank of the Loujiang River. It got its name because it is overgrown with weeds, inaccessible and inhabited by wild cats. The famous Song Dynasty general Han Shizhong once defeated Jin Wushu here. Hundreds of war horses crossed the Loujiang River, a spectacular scene. In order to commemorate Han Shizhong, the common people called the ferry "Yemadu" with the homophonic pronunciation of "Yemao Cave". In the 1930s and 1940s, the "Yemadu" Township was established here, which is now Zhujing Village.

2. Wan'an Temple

During the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty, Song Yifu, the magistrate of Kunshan, built a "Tide Waiting Pavilion" here. After that, the Kunshan County magistrate would set up a "Tide Waiting Pavilion" in the pavilion every August 18th. A banquet welcomes the arrival of the "Tide God". During the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty, people donated money to build a "Jade Pillar Tower" with a masonry structure. The tower was built in the middle of the river where the two rivers meet. Because of its white color, it is commonly known as the White Tower. Because of this tower, the area in the middle of the river is also collectively called the "White Tower", and the north of the tower, on the north bank of the Lou River, where people can stop (in today's Zhou Town), is called the "White Tower Head".
