Guide words of Qingchuan Pavilion

Hello friends, everyone! Today I will take you to visit the Qingchuan Pavilion Scenic Area, which is a national key cultural relic protection unit and a national AAA tourist attraction approved in 2002. It is also known as the "Three Chu Scenic Spots".

Qingchuan Pavilion is located on Yugongji at the east foot of Turtle Mountain in Hanyang, facing the Yangtze River in the east and facing the Yellow Crane Tower in Wuchang across the river. To the south of the Yangtze River and to the north of the Yangtze River, the towers and pavilions face each other, complementing each other and creating a spectacular scene.

Qingchuan Pavilion Scenic Area consists of three main buildings, including the main building, Yuji Palace and Tiemenguan.

The main building of Qingchuan Pavilion is also called Qingchuan Pavilion. It was built during the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty at the initiative of Fan Zhizhen, the prefect of Hanyang at that time. It was named after the word "Qingchuan" in the poem "Qingchuan Lili Hanyang Tree" written by Cui Hao, a poet from the Tang Dynasty who ascended the Yellow Crane Tower. In history, Qingchuan Pavilion has been destroyed and rebuilt many times. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, Qingchuan Pavilion was repaired five times, during which it suffered the greatest damage twice. One was during the peasant uprising in the late Ming Dynasty. Qingchuan Pavilion, as a military important location, was almost in ruins in the smoke-filled war; The other time was during the Taiping Rebellion. The Taiping Army fought a desperate battle with the Qing army in Wuhan. During the war, the Qingchuan Pavilion was destroyed by fire. Qingchuan Pavilion, which has been repeatedly destroyed and rebuilt, becomes more and more grand each time after reconstruction. Qingchuan Pavilion has a long history. The view here is excellent, and the shape of the balcony is also good. It is worthy of the title of "the first floor of Qingchuan in Chu State". Zhang Zhidong, the governor of Qinghu and Guangzhou, personally wrote a couplet for the renovated Qingchuan Pavilion:

Floods, dragons and snakes follow the track

Young parrot rises from the balcony

In 1911 , the Revolution of 1911 broke out, Guishan was repeatedly bombarded by heavy artillery, and Qingchuan Pavilion was seriously damaged. Although it was not completely destroyed, it was already in a shaky state. In 1934, a major hurricane destroyed Qingchuan Pavilion. In 1983, while rebuilding the Yellow Crane Tower, the Wuhan Municipal Government also restored the Qingchuan Pavilion according to the style of the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty. The name of the pavilion was written by Zhao Puchu, the then chairman of the Buddhist Association of China, vice chairman of the Chinese Calligraphers Association and a famous calligrapher. From then on, the Qingchuan Pavilion and the Yellow Crane Tower once again dominated the north and south of the Yangtze River. The towers and pavilions faced each other and complemented each other. They became a major tourist attraction in Jiangcheng and were known as "the scenic spot of the Three Chus and the grand spectacle of the ages". Please come with me to the pavilion to have a distant view, and truly experience the unique feeling of standing next to the river and having a panoramic view of Qingchuan. Everyone can lean on the railing and have a distant view, and the Yellow Crane Tower and the TV Tower, the top of the turtle and snake, are clearly visible in front and behind.
