Why can only China and India leave Nepal to evacuate overseas Chinese?

Since Nepal is only bordered by China and India, and there are many tourists and migrant workers from China, China sent a special plane to evacuate overseas Chinese immediately after the earthquake.

On April 25th, 2005, an earthquake of magnitude 8. 1 occurred in Nepal (28.2 degrees north latitude and 84.7 degrees east longitude) at 0/201,with a focal depth of 20km, and 265 aftershocks of magnitude 4 or above occurred within one month after the earthquake. The epicenter is located in Boquera, with the maximum intensity of X degrees, and the severe intensity zone extends eastward from the epicenter.

2. The epicenter of the earthquake is located in Boquera, and Boquera is the second largest city and a famous tourist attraction. Near the epicenter, the mountainous terrain is broken, and the risk of secondary disasters such as landslides is extremely high. The seismic performance of buildings in the earthquake zone is very poor, and the main types of buildings are masonry structures and adobe houses.

3. Nepal, India, China, Bangladesh, Pakistan and other countries and regions felt the earthquake, and nyalam county, Dingri County and Jilong County of Shigatse City, Xizang Autonomous Region, which are adjacent to Nepal, felt the earthquake very strongly.

4. The direct dynamic cause of the earthquake is that the Indian plate and the Eurasian plate converge along the NNE at a speed of 45 mm/year, which leads to the uplift of the Himalayas. The Indian plate dived northward under the Eurasian plate, which led to the strength of the rock being lower than the stress, resulting in a thrust fracture, and released huge energy during the fracture process.

5. This kind of plate convergence has a great influence on the geological structure pattern of the whole Asia, which may lead to the mountain instability on the border between China and Nepal.
