The symbol of China’s outstanding tourism cities is the horse stepping on the flying swallow.

Every part of the horse's body is extremely perfect and well-proportioned, with a dynamic posture and precise balance. The center of gravity of the sculpture has obviously been extremely carefully calculated and rests firmly on one of the walking bird's feet. As a three-dimensional sculpture in the round, it can achieve such an extraordinary artistic effect. The author's outstanding imagination, novel conception and ingenious use of copper casting technology are all amazing.

Horses Treading on Flying Swallows is the crystallization of the Han Dynasty artists’ high wisdom, rich imagination, romantic spirit and superb artistic skills. It is a rare treasure of ancient Chinese sculpture art. Ancient Chinese craftsmen used artistic techniques that combined realism and romanticism, and used rich imagination, exquisite conception, and skillful craftsmanship to perfectly combine galloping horses and flying birds, using the swiftness of flying birds to set off the galloping horses. With great speed, vivid shape and clever conception, it combines the unrestrained momentum of a galloping horse with a plain and stable mechanical structure. Its vigorous vitality and indomitable momentum make it a symbol of the Chinese nation. Because of its special meaning, the bronze galloping horse was designated as the Chinese tourism graphic symbol by the National Tourism Administration in 1983.
