Information about Guilin’s landscape
Guilin landscape is the general term for Guilin’s tourism resources and a world natural heritage. The typical karst terrain constitutes the unique Guilin landscape. Guilin landscape refers to a wide range and many projects. Guilin has green mountains, beautiful waters, strange caves, and beautiful rocks, including mountains, waters, karst caves, stone carvings, etc. Among Guilin's landscapes, the section of the Li River flowing through Yangshuo is the most beautiful, so it has the reputation of "Guilin's landscapes are the best in the world, and Yangshuo's landscapes are the best in Guilin."
1. Guilin Landscape Scenic Area, located in the northeast of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China, is a world-famous scenic tourist city. The Caogu Plain, located at the southern end of the Hunan-Guangxi Corridor, has unique karst landforms. Including Guilin City, Yangshuo County, and parts of Lingui, Lingchuan, Xing'an, Yongfu, Longsheng, Ziyuan County and other counties. The terrain is high in the north and low in the south, with an altitude of 140 to 600 meters. It is a limestone karst area. During the Shang and Zhou dynasties, this place had a close relationship with the Central Plains. During the Qin and Han Dynasties, it was an important passage between the Central Plains and Lingnan.
2. Now, a scenic spot with Guilin City as the center and including 12 surrounding counties has been formed. There are vast green primeval forests, majestic and steep peaks and valleys, rushing streams and waterfalls, and the most amazing alpine terraces in the world... In this magical land, there live Zhuang, Yao, Miao, There are more than ten ethnic minorities including Dong, Mulao and Maonan. The natural scenery, ethnic customs, history and culture of Greater Guilin have deeply attracted Chinese and foreign tourists and heads of state to come here in droves and never want to leave.
3. Guilin is located in the northeastern part of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. It is the largest airport in Guangxi and the political, economic, cultural and transportation center of northeastern Guangxi. Guilin borders Hunan and Guizhou to the north, and Liuzhou City to the west and south. Connected to the east and adjacent to Hezhou City, it is a mountainous and hilly area with a typical "karst" karst landform. The limestone throughout the city has been weathered and eroded for hundreds of millions of years, forming thousands of peaks surrounding it, a river embracing the city, and caves and strange rocks.
