How to choose a route for a two-day self-guided tour in Yangshuo?

Cycling in Yangshuo

The most interesting and cost-effective thing to do in Yangshuo is to rent a bicycle (rent for 5 yuan per day), so that you can leisurely browse the ubiquitous scenery. You can also appreciate the simple customs.

Route 1: Cycling from Yangshuo to Moon Mountain for about 9 kilometers by road, about 1 hour. On the way, we passed the Camel Bridge about 6 kilometers away. Looking eastward, we saw the camels crossing the river. Turn right from the Luotuo Bridge and you will see the Yulong River, also known as the Little Li River. There is a small villa next to it, which is very relaxing. Return to the main road and go to the big banyan tree. The ticket is 13 yuan. The entrance fee to Moon Mountain Park is 9 yuan. There are also water rocks nearby. It takes two or three hours to walk around there. From the small road next to Moon Mountain Park, you can reach Longtan Township, a small village with a "Xu Family Ancestral Hall" in it.

Route 2: Start from Yangshuo and go south on the highway for 1 kilometer. Turn left at the intersection, pass Aishan Bridge, turn into Aishan Village, and then take the path to Moon Mountain. There are pastoral scenery and mountain roads along the way. The scenery on both sides of the road is beautiful. The hut is slowly passing by, and the lush bamboos are reflected in the clear water. It feels like driving in a painting. It takes more than 3 hours to ride to Moon Mountain, but you don’t feel tired if you go all the way to see the beautiful scenery. Many people take this route.

Route 3: Walk along the path from Yangshuo to Xiatang Village, pass the small reservoir, and arrive at Jiuxian Village. The village is actually filled with abandoned old houses. Then pass Yulongshang Village to Yulong Bridge, and walk up the river to watch the afterglow of the sunset. The overlapping mountains, clear rivers, quaint stone bridges, and women washing vegetables by the river are peaceful. From Jinlong Bridge to Fuli Bridge, pass through Yantang Village, and then take the highway from Baisha Town back to Yangshuo.

Yangshuo West Street

Yangshuo is an ancient city older than Lijiang.

West Street is an ancient pedestrian street in Yangshuo County, with a total length of 517 meters and a width of 8 meters. This ancient stone road has a Western flavor and an oriental simplicity. There are many handicraft shops on both sides of the street selling old gadgets, as well as Chinese clothing and ethnic batik. A large tie-dyed tablecloth costs 60 to 70 yuan, and a small square towel costs 5 to 8 yuan, which is very beautiful. There are also several CD shops on the street, selling foreign songs. Of course, the most distinctive thing about West Street is the specialty bars and cafes. This is where foreigners gather. The menus and signs are also marked in Chinese and English. The Western food is very authentic and very cheap. It is not enough for two people to have a full meal. Forty or fifty yuan.

Transportation, food and accommodation

To go from Beijing to Yangshuo, you need to transfer from Guilin. Take a plane or train to Guilin, and then take a boat or bus to Yangshuo. There is a minibus to Yangshuo on the right side of Guilin Railway Station Square, and the ticket is 5 yuan.

Staying in West Street in Yangshuo is of course the best choice. There are many hotels here. Because there are many foreigners, the sanitary conditions are very good, the prices are low, and they all have 24-hour hot water.
