Route arrangement of free scenic spots in Henan

In Sikeshu Township, Lushan County, Pingdingshan City, there are three free scenic spots-manjusri temple, Pearl Lake and Xidahe, with a distance of 10 km.

manjusri temple

Friends from Nanyang, turn left from 207 national highway to Daiping Village, Sishu Township, Lushan County, and walk along county road 0 17. The first stop is manjusri temple.

Manjusri Hall was built in the fourth year of Yuan Dynasty (namely 1344). Compared with Xiangshan Temple in Pingdingshan, which was built in the Eastern Han Dynasty, and Ruzhou Fengxue Temple, which was a part of Pingdingshan in the Northern Wei Dynasty, its history is really not long.

But it is deep in the mountains, accompanied by ginkgo biloba for 5 thousand years, which is very rare in Henan and even the whole country. In this area, the largest ancient ginkgo tree is over 2,800 years old and has a circumference of 6.9 meters. It takes several people to hold hands to embrace it. It is the largest ginkgo tree in the world at present, and is known as the "king of trees in the world".

Most importantly, the ticket price is as high as 120 yuan compared with the Central Plains Giant Buddha Scenic Area, which is 20 kilometers away. Manjusri temple has always been free, so it attracts countless tourists and pilgrims every year.

Zhenzhutan

After coming out of manjusri temple, continue along county road 0 17. Less than 3 kilometers, it is the second stop-Pearl Lake Scenic Area. Compared with other original ecological scenic spots in Lushan Mountain, Pearl Lake is the most famous one, and it is known as "the back garden of outdoor hikers". The Pearl Lake scenic spot is small, but there are more than a dozen waterfalls large and small, and almost every step is water. Especially in midsummer, the rainfall increases, and more than ten waterfalls compete to fall. The scene is spectacular. Of course, in addition to these ponds and waterfalls, there are many kinds of plants in the pearl pond. Trees cover the sky and exotic flowers and grasses are blooming, which is an excellent place to cool off in summer.

However, because the scenic spot is hidden in the deep mountains and has not been developed, the road to Pearl Lake is not easy. In addition to jumping up and down on rocks, most of them step on the plank road composed of two or three small logs between cliffs, so it is best to walk together.

Xidahe

Starting from Pearl Lake, continue driving along county road 0 17 for about 6 kilometers, arrive at No.8 farm house in Xidahekou, turn left at the intersection (there are obvious parking lots and entrance signs at the entrance of Xidahekou), and continue driving 1 km, which is the third stop-Xidahe Scenic Area.

The name Xidahe may not have been heard by many locals, but it, like Pearl Pool, has always been one of the classic routes of Lushan Mountain's wild tourism! There are many gullies here, and abundant water resources have formed countless waterfalls and springs. In addition, there are many kinds of wild fruits such as kiwi fruit, wild grape, peach, mulberry and hawthorn in different seasons in the valley, which also adds a touch of wild interest to the Xijiang River.

It is understood that Xidahe has been bought and is under development, and it is still open to the public free of charge. However, it is still unknown whether tickets will be collected like Yangshan Tongtianhe, which is four kilometers away.
