Yerevan’s natural environment

Yerevan is built on a hillside, surrounded by beautiful natural scenery. Looking up into the distance, the snow-capped Mount Ararat and Mount Aragaz, and the thousands of icy peaks are clearly visible. Mount Ararat is a characteristic of the Armenian nation, and the pattern on the Armenian national emblem is Mount Ararat. Yerevan is located on the banks of the Razdan River in southwest Armenia, more than 20 kilometers away from the Turkish border. Mount Ararat and Mount Aragaz confront each other in the north and south of the city. The mountains are rich in colored granite and marble. Most of the houses in Yerevan are built with stones from the mountains, so the houses in Yerevan are colorful. Yerevan is also famous for its stone sculpture art. The new city is built on a hillside, and the green hills are dotted with magnificent residences. The scenery is very beautiful.

There are two cathedrals in Yerevan that were built in the 19th century AD and the 19th century AD. There is a famous tourist attraction on the outskirts of the city, namely Echmyakin, the ancient capital of Armenia. It is said that it was built in the 19th century. It is the seat of all Armenian archbishops. There is the Echmea Cathedral built in 2000 by the first Archbishop of Armenia, Enligatana, and the Lipsime Cathedral built in 2000. It is not far from Echmyakin. The ruins of the Zvart Cathedral, built in 1989, are a multi-story cathedral with a dome and a cross-shaped interior. It is richly decorated and had an important influence on Armenian architectural art throughout the Middle Ages. The ruins of Garni Castle in the AD century were originally the summer palace of the Armenian kings. The pillared church in the fort is the only relic of Armenian culture in the late Greek culture in the AD century.
