Jinting town scenic spot

Xishan Island, commonly known as Dongting Xishan, is the first island in China, and now it is the core scenic spot of Taihu National Scenic Area, the national 5A scenic spot, the national forest park, the national geological park, the national town with beautiful environment, the pilot project of comprehensive reform of small towns in China, a famous historical and cultural town in Jiangsu Province and a civilized town in Jiangsu Province.

Climbing high and overlooking, the islands in the lake, the peaks and valleys, the people in the lake bay, the mountains near and the water far away-come into view, taking you into the poem "The water embraces the green hills and flowers, and there are people in the depths of the flowers". Natural ghosts and craftsmen, the vicissitudes of history have accumulated profound cultural connotations and magical legends here. Wuyue's Juntian Village, Xiaxia Bay, Shigong Mountain's astronomical wonders, Lingwu Cave's Taoist fairy house, Baoshan Temple's fireworks, Luohan Temple's Gu Teng, camphor tree and so on have formed unique tourism resources.

The treasure of Taihu Lake is known as "flowers every month, fruits in four seasons, 18 harvests a year, and fish and shrimp every day". Dongting Mountain Biluochun, Wuzi Yangmei, Giant Buddha's Hand Ginkgo, nine kinds of chestnuts, green loquat, ethereal peak crystal pomegranate, whitebait, white fish and white shrimp are well-known at home and abroad. Jinting is also rich in mineral resources. Tourism resources, flower and fruit resources and mineral resources have formed three advantages of Jinting economy.

There are more than 100 historical and cultural sites on the island, including 4 provincial and municipal cultural relics protection units100, 7 ancient villages under municipal control and protection, and 26 ancient buildings under municipal control and protection. In addition, there are more than 20 buildings in Ming and Qing Dynasties/KLOC-0, covering an area of about 40,000 square meters. Mingyuewan Ancient Village and Dongcun Ancient Village are famous Chinese historical and cultural villages.
