Yuyao is in the south wing of the Yangtze River Delta and belongs to Zhejiang Province.

Yuyao is located in the south wing of the beautiful and rich Yangtze River Delta, bordering Jiangbei District and Haishu District of Ningbo City in the east, Siming Mountain in the south, Fenghua and Shengzhou in the west, Shangyu District in the west, Cixi City in the north and Haiyan County in the northwest.
