Wanning City is in Hainan Province.

Wanning, also known as Wan'an and Wanzhou, is located on the southeastern coast of Hainan Island and is a county-level city directly under the jurisdiction of Hainan Province. Wanning City was awarded the title of "Hometown of Areca Nuts" by the State Forestry Administration, and was also recognized as the "National Betel Nut Demonstration Base". This is the only city or county in China that has been awarded the title of Betel Nut Hometown.

Wanning City is located on the southeastern coast of Hainan Island, bordering the South China Sea to the east, Qiongzhong to the west, Lingshui to the south, and Qionghai Sea to the north. The total area is 4433.6 square kilometers.

The administrative division of Wanning City is a county-level city, which is directly under the jurisdiction of Hainan Province. Hainan Province is the superior administrative unit of Wanning City.

Wanning City has 12 towns under its jurisdiction, namely: Wancheng Town, Longgun Town, Shangen Town, Hele Town, Houan Town, Damao Town, Dongao Town, Liji Town, and Changfeng Town. Town, Beida Town, Nanqiao Town, and Sangengluo Town. The Wanning Municipal Government is located in Hongzhuan Middle Street, Wancheng Town. In addition, Wanning City has two farms under its jurisdiction: Xinglong Overseas Chinese Farm and the local state-owned Liulian Forest Farm.

Wanning City is rich in tourism resources. The main tourist attractions include Shenzhou Peninsula Tourist Resort and Riyue Bay Haimen Tourist Area:

(1) Shenzhou Peninsula Tourist Resort, located in Hainan Province Shenzhou Peninsula Tourist Area, Dongao Town, Wanning City. The Shenzhou Peninsula has beautiful bays, long and winding white and soft beaches, extending to the harbor in the distance.

(2) Riyue Bay Haimen Tourist Area is located in the Riyue Bay Nanhai Fishing Village Cultural Tourism Area, Liji Town, Wanning City, Hainan Province. The climate here is pleasant, spring-like all year round, and the beautiful scenery makes you forget to leave.
